I think I’ve listened through this more times in 24 hours than I have NCTH since it’s release

 

This got better as it went on. I like it more than I expected to. Definitely their most interesting songwriting and I'm glad they seem to have committed more strongly to incorporating new elements. I dunno how much I'll find myself coming back to it, but I think it's a good effort. Favorite track is probably "When the Blue Finally Came".

 

The Ocean is definitely up there with ANIN for their best closer

 

Dan is my favorite lyricist.

 

Funeral is still their best closer by far imo.

Kinda random but whatever happened to Thomas? Why does he have next to no presence on this site anymore?

Just had my second listen there. Some of the riffs on this are huge.

I actually felt like I was on a boat during the closer the guitar line has that kind of sea shanty tune. Or maybe I'm just tripping cause of lack of sleep.

I was busy doing yard work listening to this in crappy Bluetooth headphones and driving around in a car that uses a Bluetooth FM transmitter today, so I can’t comment on production, but I listened through this 4-5 times and it breezed by in a good way. I really don’t think I listened to NCTH that many times all the way through. I am sold completely on this.

I love this record in the limited time I have spent with it. With that being said, I have such a hard time hearing all the people saying they never really got into NCTH, I just love it so much. What has made TWY my favorite band is that I have loved each and every one of their albums as it came out. Glad it won't stop with this one.

 

I saw that he did a cover for a wedding favor on Dan's instagram.

 

If pyramids of salt ends up not being my favorite on this album then it’s really gonna be something special

 

i was kidding, hah. thomas is my good bud and former roommate and he came on my pod as a favor and the cover was one of the songs he featured

I’d say Pyramids of Salt is pretty easily my least favorite on this
