    Not mad about Kyoto.

Confident in saying Pyramids of Salt is their best song since Suburbia.

I wasn't feeling Kyoto too much either, after reading the lyrics I like it a lot better. Still not really a fan of how the song opens, which isn't good when it's an opener. Album gets a whole lot better starting with Pyramids though.

We reach for the longest shadow

So I guess those Dave vocals in It Must Get Lonely are just harmonies... y’all could’ve told me that.

Release My Mind, My Garden Grows

Well this all looks promising, I think I'm still going to wait it out though. I'd love for my first full listen of this to be on my turntable while looking through the photo/lyric book. I also have a good chunk of new music to hold me over til Friday so it won't be too bad waiting

so theres mentions of being in a hospital throughout the album, someone in The Ghosts Of Right Now has cancer or some kind of disease like that. The Orange Grove has the line "When your mom got sick, did you carry the weight alone?". i wonder who Dans talking about.

Tbf I just have so much weight and memory attached to there, there that it'd take a heruclean feat to top it as an opener for me

Wouldn't say Kyoto is their best opener and puzzled by the brutal start. But it's definitely one of their best songs. It's just like, yo, There, There and Came Out Swinging do incredible jobs as openers

    When I got too weak
The ocean grew hands to hold me
    When I was in shambles
    When I got too weak
The ocean grew hands to hold me

    I stopped blaming God
When you said you were sick
I learned to lean on the people who love me
When the sutures start to split
I trust in the current to pull you back in
    I miss everyone at once
But most of all, I miss the ocean
