I'm leaving for a trip tomorrow and I just found out today that the person I'm going with saved up basically no money....like she doesn't even know if she has enough money to eat. I'm furious right now.

 

Just found out my moms ~old car (the one thats in her name) she gave to my other sibling. That makes me sooooo mad. I'm stuck driving a shit car (it runs but it sucks). My parents are AWALYS favoring them... I don't get jack shit.

 

Not a frustration, but I don't know where else to post this and I feel like I need to. I'm in Vegas on a family vacation and my aunt who is with us passed away in her sleep overnight. I'm so distraught right now.

 

Oh wow, just completely out of the blue? Cause of death? Crazy, man. So sorry to hear.

 

I'd be livid. Justified!

 

Just reading this infuriated me. When I'm planning something I plan down the the tiniest detail. When friends tell me they're just going to wing it, I get a panic attack.

 

My best friend from HS asked me like a year ago if me and her could plan our 10 year reunion so that it didn't suck. So basically I started doing everything about 5ish months ago and set everything up and found a venue and started taking ticket sales online. She hasn't done anything. Not one thing to help me, and it was her idea. She hasn't even paid for her ticket (it's June 4th) and I text her to do it and she says she doesn't know if she can go. I'm like bitch, you made me plan this whole thing, didn't help, and now you aren't even going to show up? I'm pretty furious with the whole thing...compounded by the fact that like 30+ people have RVSP'd on the event but have yet to click the payment link. Way to procrastinate! I've had the payment site up since Jan. Ugh.

 

She's had major heart issues and had essentially been living with half a functioning heart for the last 6 months, but she was on medication to essentially keep her alive and prolong her life. Her doctor had cleared her to travel, and Vegas was her favorite place in the entire world. She wasn't feeling wel last night and went to bed early and we lost her in the middle of the night. Toughest day of my life to date seeing her like that.

Thank you both. Really difficult to deal with right now, just trying to comfort my mom (her sister) who found her in bed. Heartbreaking.

 

I guess the only silver lining is she died in her favorite place in the world? :( That's a pretty sad story though. I'm glad you are there for your mom. Sending you some strength!

 

That's the small positive we're trying to take from it. She wouldn't have wanted it anywhere else but at her favorite hotel on her favorite street in the world. Thank you for the compassion. Means more than I can put into words.

 

It's really hard to find a full time job where I live. The work ethic of many I work with is really sad. I'm getting sick but not too sick to call out. Yet people always call out for lame reasons and now were down a closer. I haven't gotten a raise since I started working and I really feel like I deserve one.

 

Meant to post this a few days ago but totally forgot, and posting it here because I don't remember if there was a job story/complaint thread...

A family came into my work and they had a coupon for a free pizza (which only works on two of our sizes), when they get to the register they asked if they can use it on the one thats the largest size.... for one, thats not how coupons work (at least in all the food places I've worked). If its a "free item" it either has a price value or its taken off the lowest priced item. Not "I want to choose what item I want to use it for". Also the coupon in general doesnt work for that largest size. Some people are so cheap. Not as bad as the ~couple (not sure if they were a couple or not) who wanted free drinks in the largest size asked if we had a first timer discount because they were "kinda poor". Now thats doing too much. I told my manager about that one.

 

I manage a call center. I'm frustrated every day. I need to post in here more often. At least I still have my hair. And alcohol.

 

The newest version (for the last year or so) of Google Maps is frustratingly slow and any time you click on something it starts a new search that gets rid of whatever you were already doing.

 

What..? I have 30 minutes til I need to be at work. Someone kill me, please.

 

Pros and cons about driving.

Pro: I don't have to deal with creeps and time consuming on public transit

Con: very impatient drivers

This car honked at me because I wouldn't pull into concoming traffic. I needed to get over 3 lanes to get to the turn lane so I waited until it was clear. To piss the guy off because he irritate me by honking at me I slowly went over to the next lanes. He looked back and I flipped him off. I'm not risking pulling in front of cars and getting hit and not having a car again

 

I got honked at yesterday while making a u-turn. I don't know if the person thought I was turning the wrong way to get on the freeway or what. I assume he was being impatient as well because I had to wait for an oncoming car to pass.

 

Love it when I need to get over and I'm signaling it but the people in the next lane don't want to slow down to let me in so I take an opening and they honk at me. Sorry I didn't just park the car till everyone else was gone!

 

I try to keep an eye out for blinkers when I'm alongside other cars for that reason. You really get an accurate sense of how selfish humans are when you're out driving.

I didn't know where else to post it. It's somewhat of a frustration anyhow. Every now and then I get a call from an ~odd number. The first 3 numbers are the same as my number followed by different last 4 numbers. All show its coming from the same city. It's been far more frequent now. One time I answered and the person on the other line told me to stop calling him with a robotic like voice. I told him I never called. Another time I answer someone asked if I called, and I said no. Didn't answer the call today. If it's important they'll leave a message. I have no idea what's going on.
