I think we're on the same page, we just have different thoughts on how good Fallout 4 is, haha.

I do think that Red Dead will get some shit in the same way GTA or like South Park (new games and the show) do, because of their type of humor and their alleged world views.

 

They're like interesting but they're pretty buggy and stuff. "Eurojank" is what some lovingly call the type of problems it has, but giving them a nickname doesn't make them less annoying to me, haha.

 

Went to my Toys R Us yesterday to see what kinda deals they had. Games were all 5% off. Was expecting bigger discounts.

 

I mean it could actually be a bad game, but I can't recall Rockstar having ever shipped a bad Rockstar-developed game so I'm not expecting them to do it now. I just am ready for the scenario where it reviews well, I personally love it, and then the roar on the internet is that it's a letdown and I'm left wondering if there's something wrong with me.

And then I just think about Fargo season 1 lol:

YES that's a great example too. DA:I is a really good game and the backlash against it made no sense, and continues to make no sense, to me.

 

these liquidation sales typically ramp up over time to maximize returns. i closed down some Blockbusters and Hollywood Videos in my day and it would always ramp up each week

 

count me in for the DA:I Defense Force

except the glitched artifacts you couldn't get, and the fact that the Dragons' Bane achievement is bugged and i'd have to replay the damn thing for just a chance to unlock it

 

It's too buggy definitely, but that's not usually what people complain about

 

i enjoyed The Hinterlands and the internet says that makes me normie trash

 

on the subject of Fallout 4, I'm usually either pretty lucky when it comes to bugs or just don't care all that much, but I encountered what seems to be a game-breaking bug in my Fallout 4 game last night.

I'm trying to finish the game by siding with the Railroad, and I need to warn Desdemona that the BoS knows the location of their HQ. but when I try to talk to her, she just gives generic "I'm busy" responses and no matter how many times I try, won't enter into the quest dialogue wheel. after Googling it seems like this was a common bug, but was apparently fixed like two years ago? no idea why I'm encountering it now. the worst part is that I'm playing on PS4, so I can't just mess around with console commands to try to fix it. and when I play games like this I'm the type of person who gets really into the story, so I honestly don't even want to finish the game if I'm going to have to side with the Institute or something in order to progress. really sucks.

 

My biggest issue with FO4 is the full voice acting, which severely limited the dialogue options and kind of made the whole system, which was a highlight of 3 and NV, pointless. By the end of the game, I was just rushing through the thing

 

honestly DA:I was the last game i can think of where i felt thoroughly rewarded for digging through every nook and cranny of the map. i need another game like that.

 

Dragon Age Inquisition has the best mage combat ever made

 

I wish they'd update it for the One X though

 

Does it? I bought that game and was super stoked to try it and never made it out of the like the first area. I didn't find the combat that great and it was very overwhelming and just didn't click for me.

 

really one of the more legitimate gripes, one of those games that was really held back by being ported up from last gen as opposed to a native game to Xbone/PS4. it just does not look up to par with most other AAA current-gen games in terms of textures/animations

 

It's so blurry especially on the Xbox

 

Oh I love it. I put it on one of the lower difficulties though because I like how the combat feels, not the challenge or whatever.

 

Went to the one here over the weekend and even at that small discount they were pretty much wiped out. Unless they sent back a bunch of product

 

Finally got a ps4!!!

Which should I play first? This is what a friend gave me:

Fallout 4 (HUGE fan of 3 and NV)
The Witcher 3
The Last Of Us Remastered (already beat once on ps3)
Uncharted 4

 

Witcher

 

I would say Uncharted 4. Its a great game and you can beat it relatively quick. Then dive head first in to The Witcher 3 for 100 hours.

 

make sure you pick up Bloodborne for free with PS Plus before the end of the month! one of the best games available on PS4.

 

You can't go wrong with any of those that aren't Fallout 4
