Wow free blink show in NYC? That fact that its for good morning america...how many songs would they play? Would it be a legit show?

 

I'd say probably about 5-6 songs, but I'm just guessing. I think when FOB did it, they televised 2 songs

 

They take place during the taping of GMA from 7-9am, but I don't believe the band actually plays close to that amount of time. On television they usually air 3-4 songs.

 

Actually yeah it is, I forgot about that haha

Thanks so much!! Releasing a new track in July too, can't wait to release it.

Menzingers have a Bad Religion reference too in one of their songs. Although I actually don't know what started this conversation off anyway.

Don't know if they were mentioned yet but Justin Pierre/MCS has always aced inserting band (and other pop culture) references into their songs

I actually went to the Today show taping of the Bad Boy Family Reunion this morning. You get to watch the soundcheck, and then the actual show is about 30 minutes long.

I definitely plan on doing the Blink GMA one. It's (kinda) on my way to work, and it'll be a warm summer morning.

Also love Matt Pinfield. Easily one of the best veejay's on MTV...dude is just so knowledgeable about music. Remember MTV Cribs of his apartment and it's just full of music history and memorabilia.

 

He's also surprisingly awkward in that interview

 

Crazy listening to that interview. Tom needing to explain who JEW were, Pennywise were bigger than ever causing riots... Weird.

 

It was funny to see them talking about how JEW was "getting some good press" which at the time was 1997 well before even Clarity would come out.
