The long game is if the Bucks don’t field a competitive team in next few seasons we won’t have Giannis any longer

 

no one is beating the warriors/houston/lebron bubble for the next five years. why you’re in a win now mindset when we haven’t won a playoff series in 17 years and those guys are obviously going to dominate the post season is beyond me

i’m sure you’ll respond to this that we’re going to lose giannis to los angeles or something. i’ll continue to ignore that as dumb TRASH since everything from giannis since day one has pointed to the contrary

The team isn’t as good as you think and they aren’t as bad as I think - they are average which is frustrating when you have a top 5 NBA player on your team

 

I wish Giannis did - he will probably develop that over the offseason working with Kobe

I was actually thinking today that, if you guys hadn’t made that ill advised Blake deal, you would be in a position to draft someone like Sexton or Alexander, who I think would have really helped you rebuild.

Or even keeping Miles Bridges home as someone you could have paired with Tobias Harris.

 

Yep. We’d be in a way better position. Potentially even fighting for a playoff spot.

I’m not ready to give up on Blake yet but mannnnn. Trading your best shooter/scorer and your first round pick for someone who is made out of glass and relies on athleticism was not great.

 

Stein said today that the coaching list, which the bucks haven’t confirmed but of course they wouldn’t, is as follows:
JVG - was a very good coach but i’d be worried about the time off, sure

mchale - yeah this would suck

fizz - i wasn’t hot on this rumor at first but i think he’d turn the team into a much more solid defensive and rebounding unit. the talent is there for the roster as is to be good af both, they just don’t really know how other than natural ability

monty williams - would also be fine with. was the only coach AD (probably the closest situation to giannis in the league) has had success under until this year.

 

I just want him to get mean

 

And Blake muddies up your cap space.

But maybe Reggie Jackson’s returning will portend greener pastures.
