Mine is because auto-correct on virtually every device changes my name to "Bruce", and it's become mildly infuriating over the years. That and I just don't care to think of new names for every site.

 

I'm going to be pissed if I get all the way to Tallahassee and regionals get rained out tomorrow. If that happens we're gonna go back Sunday.

Oh man I don't envy you at all. Housing is pretty cheap where I live which is nice. We paid 125k for a nice, fairly new (smaller) house in a really really nice neighborhood. I don't know how people can afford to buy houses in big markets haha.

We qualified for 320k which still isn't nearly enough here but the house we found, albeit small is really great with a lot of character and I can add on later and fix up some things. Eternally jealous of 125k lol that sounds like a god damn dream

Yeah so much anxiety about buying a house in the coming years... 300k is like the minimum around here, and that's probably the maximum of what I could afford.

 

I COMPLETELY AGREE and nobody seems to understand this. I'm chronically ill as is, and so I work from home. I don't have my own car. Life is tough for me but I am grateful I found a work from home job.. I just need a second one. The hours are nothing

 

That's good. That's one thing I do love about cities is that so many of the homes have character. Most houses around me are fairly cookie cutter.

Does the state of Washington have any good programs for first time home buyers? We were able to get our house with 0 money down. We are also part of a program that gives us 25% of the interest we pay every year back as a tax refund, which is awesome.

 

The other downside is when it's so damn competitive you can find a listing for 299k (like we did last night) and it could still sell for 400k after everyone has a bidding war over it.
