I'm all for taking recommendations and of course there are going to be some people whose recommendations align with your musical tastes...but having a "filter" seems like a way to keep you in the dark from a ton of stuff that's out there.

On a side note, I'm listening to the new album by The Neighbourhood now and I like it. They're not my favorite band by any means, but they do what they do well and the album has been solid so far.
