    AAAHHHHHHH IM NOT DONE YET

Anyways any listen to Kublai Khan yet? I'm mad I've slept on them for 3 years now. Top of my list for sure.

Also is Mychildren Mybride still a christian band?

I wish haha. I listened to a shit ton of those older bands after the fact like 7 years ago and I'm going back to them.

They sound like AILD but with more breakdowns. Somthing I can get behind!

Burden of a Day were my favorite MySpace 2007/8 short lived rise-core band.

Mychildren Mybride are so good, I never thought I’d be able to see them. Easily in my top 3 this year

Tyler from Issues posted this (with a clip of AJ screaming playing in the background) so he's definitely doing all the screaming on this run (and Warped Japan)

Why the fuck is Twiztid on the Monster stage? I'd trade em for a pop punk band on owly hahaha

Not a surprise, they said there was still going to be screaming. I think everyone is blowing the lineup change out of proportion. They are going to have huge crowds

It kinda makes sense, I don’t like them, but they kinda fit into that “heavy rap” sort of sound or the horror rap type thing, if that makes sense

  13. sam_might_say

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

Honestly, it’s kinda the only stage that they fit on, really. They would be far out of place on either Journey’s stage or the owly.fm stage. I think it’s the whole horror-themed look/vibe they have

Not sure if people care about my opinions on the bands, but they seem to get discussion going, so I'll keep posting.

Just finished up the Red Dawn stage so here's my thoughts:

    - The Amity Affliction: This band are the masters of whiny. catchy, clean choruses without making them super cheesy. A lot of their work is pretty same-y but I really think they hit the right balance of pop and post-hardcore, with some angsty lyrics as the icing. I probably did a bad job on selling them, but they are at the top of my list.

    - Chelsea Grin: So far the heavyiest band on the tour, but they don't do much for me. Not a fan of death metal (and deathcore) so I'm going to skip them, more so because I can't stand their style.

    - Deez Nuts: I have no idea why no one is talking about these guys but this is some top notch OG hardcore. I prefer their early work with party lyrics, but the new stuff isn't bad either. Don't let the name fool you, this is for fans of 80s and 90s hxc without the metal influence. Again, another band for the top of my list.

    - Ice Nine Kills: I was ready to hate this band, since I heard them a few years ago and thought they were terrible. This time around I feel they are pretty generic with an obnoxious theme. I could be missing something, but they just seem like b-rate carbcore. I'll stick to my Woe is Me and Motionless in White for that itch.

    - Kublai Khan: Metallic hardcore that has some dope vox and energetic breakdowns. Nothing much to say, but they are a really solid band and another act for the top of my 15. I could see this band be the Knocked Loose for this tour.

    - Mychildren Mybride: My god is this a terrible band name, but they are pretty good b-list oldschool metalcore band in the vein of As I Lay Dying. Might be on top or upper middle depending on my mood. Melodic riffs over stupid breakdowns for days.

    - Sharptooth: This band is really fucking solid live. I would say they are the must see small band (like Knocked Loose was last year). The lyrics are a lot of entry-level feminism and the vocalist doesn't do anything for me when she isn't screaming, but the instrumentals are sound hardcore riffs that will make you want to fight ninjas. The vocals can be looked over live. I've seen them before, so they'll be pretty low for me but everyone should check them out.

    - Twiztid: I hate horror themes, I dislike oldhead rap. I hate rap live, so even if someone could convince me they are good, I'd rather just see a mediocre pop punk band. Nope.

    - Wage War: Generic as fuck metalcore, but they hit all the right beats for a post-2012 band. Great cleans and breakdowns with serviceable screams. They are another band that is great live, but I don't think I want to put my energy into moshing to them at Warped. But if you are on the fence with WW, they will not dissapoint.

Ice Nine Kills is number one on my list of bands with amazing names whose music I can’t stand. It bums me out.

Finally got through all the stages. 6-15 all have chances of moving up or down depending on numerous factors. Honorable mentions to Waterparks, All Time Low, SharpTooth, and The Used who just barely missed the cutoff. Also, really cool thing to notice is that Movements was my bottom priority in 2017 and now they're number 1. Super glad my schedule worked out well enough that I could see them.

    Twiztid-
Go for their comedy in between songs, these guys are hilarious.

I have hung out with these guys on numerous occasions, they broke away from the juggalo scene and have started to focus on running their label correctly. Their not everyone's thing, but I am excited as hell to see them do this tour. Also I have seen them about 35 times and they don't get old.

    @ALT/MSC/FAN

Here's V2 of my top 15. Remove my last one if you recorded it pls.

I'm going to Cuyhoga Falls & the Minnesota dates.

The CF exclusives that I want to see get top billing for me, but that has nothing to necessarily anything related to the quality of the music & performance when compared to the other bands.

    Cuyhoga Falls Must Sees:
    1. Underoath
    2. Silverstein
    3. Knocked Loose

    Minnesota Must Sees:
    4. Deez Nuts
    5. The Amity Affliction
    6. Kublai Khan
    7. Unearth
    8. Mychildren Mybride

    LIkely to see:
    9. Real Friends
    10. Issues
    11. Four Years Strong

    Unlikely to see:

    12. Harm's Way
    13. Less Than Jake
    14. Asking Alexandria (seeing them at Northern Invasion)
    15. Simple Plan

That said, here's a bunch of bands I still like in no particular order:
    - Knuckle Puck
    - State Champs
    - Movements
    - Sharptooth
    - Wage War
    - Day Seeker
    - Every Time I Die
    - In Hearts Wake
    - Motionless In White

Twiztid's set should be fun. I'd never ever see them outside of a festival setting, but that's just the kind of attitude an oddball Warped act banks on. They'll likely be playing to people who don't know/care about them every day and that's what you want as a festival artist.

I'm sure Twiztid knows they'd do better touring with similar artists, but a major fest appearance is hard to pass up in their situation.

GWAR had by far their highest chart appearance ever in the US after doing the tour last year. I don't think that was entirely a coincidence.

I'm also intrigued by Nekrogoblikon. It'll be fun to see a non-Core Metal band on the tour again.

There are MUCH BETTER non core bands that could've done warped this year. Sorry not sorry had to sit through Nekrogoblikon earlier this week. There fucking awful.
