Dude just had a 2:1 TD/INT ratio and played well in 2/3 playoff games, elevated his game almost every time we played a winning-record team. And then took 20 MILLION LESS, PER SEASON in guaranteed money than Cousins did.

I am very happy with Bortles right now. It takes a lot to make up for 2013-2016 but playoffs, much less ugly numbers, and a cheap extension is enough to make me feel at peace with him.

 

He has incentives out the ass but what do I care? Yeah, let's pay the man for being a pro-bowler and shit. Literally the only year he's set to make more than $15 is his final year where we can cut him.

 

I for one am glad Bortles is still in Jax just for more Good Place jokes

 

I still think there's pretty much nothing to be excited with about him (even if he does become the median) but god in comparison to what's been happening with QBs in Free Agency? Yeah Bortles is the way to go hahaha

The Dolphins are 100 percent tanking. Pouncey is the first player they've released that hasn't been one of the best on the team.
They Dolphins are just not as good at tanking as the Cardinals/Raiders.

 

He can still throw deep, run, and have 300 yard games. Hes not a boring dink and dunk quarterback. If his game keeps getting cleaner, he can be productive enough to offer healthy balance to our offense.
