Dylan is fine with Sweeney Todd murdering people and cooking them but not the pies being savory

It was a LOT of fun, a very stressful journey there just because there was zero parking in pretty much all of Deep Ellum but once we got in the show we had a blast. Every act was incredible, Laura Stevenson should be president and Chris Farren is more important than Mozart.

 

Chris Farren had his entire crowd banter prerecorded and just filled in the blanks and it was the greatest

this sounds like a blast. i checked out rosenstock for the first time (i know, i know) with his new album this year. really enjoyed it.

farren is also in which band? i'm totally blanking.

 

He's in a band called Fake Problems, I hadn't listened to him before the show except for a couple songs Laura put on for me but he was really good

Definitely check out Jeff's album Worry, it's the best of his solo output IMO

 

mentally i was like "the lawrence arms" so i'm not surprised i was wrong. i'm terrible at knowing anything about the current punk scene

finished the first draft of the best man's speech and got emotional so that means i'm totally crying in front of a room of strangers

Well I probably do but it's probably not worth spending on it, I'm gonna shell out money for the first Texans home game this year so saving up for that, plus hoping to stumble into Mike Birbiglia tickets for April, got Red Sox tickets for Laura in May, Hatsune Miku in July, plus planning a trip to Florida soon

Farren is the funniest person in that scene, period.

 

His set was so good and musically serious and yet so Burnham-esque (who is also good obviously) and I was in stitches

 

I like that you spread out your events like I do to keep looking forward to things. You gotta git Birbigs tickets. You gotta.

 

It feels so necessary, the date is just sneaking up on us so it's hard to do but also tax money is coming so who knows?

 

My tax money bought OTR2 tickets (and the hotel/tux for this wedding). So hold on to that hope. You gotta do the important to you things, firm believer in that.
