I dunno, I don't really notice what it's trying to say about religion. I dunno what I'd even consider a juvenile criticism of religion.

 

Great point, my worry is that'll just be dismissive of faith altogether instead of rightfully calling out the hypocrisy and abuse of power.

Is there anything in particular about the album you think it does well? Any favorite tracks?

 

Any songs with some cool screaming parts from spencer or is it just minimum kinda like the single?

The layered harmonies are very nice. Spencer sounds as good as he ever has.

"Sink With You" and "Rapture" probably? I think "Hold Your Breath" but I always forget which is which if I'm not directly listening to it.

 

I don't think Fall Out Boy are radio rock. Which is why they're not played on Active Rock radio.

Not sure why it matters what radio does. I am referring to

"look at our anthem chorus" and "oh are we going to commercial during a college basketball game?"

These are very common thoughts about post-hiatus FOB, I didn't just make this up out of nowhere

 

Sink With You an early favorite

 

It matters because it’s the genre and phrase I used on purpose to describe a very specific sound. One Fall Out Boy is not making.

(And no that’s not what is on college basketball this year either.)

Read what I actually write. I’m not using specific words for no reason. They all matter.

 

It’s the best one imo.
