Yea, it didn’t hit as hard as the last couple weeks, but it was incredibly satisfying to have this story wrap up. Indeed, the music was on fucking point.

Fucking space whales, indeed. I need to rewatch their intro episode, to been since whenever it aired. I remember them, especially because Ken from Force Center hates them haha! I like how Thrawn was surrounded by “hands”. I don’t get how they survive though. They clearly are exposed to atmosphere. Space whale magic? Will we find out? And WHEN?!? But yea, you just gotta roll with the space whales. As odd as they are...

I thought Zeb was dead like twice. Glad he made it though.

Loved the Palestine stuff. I don’t remember which book it’s from, but there was something about propaganda videos that played where they made Palestine look normal and the narrator thought they had heard it was a cover up and that he looked way different. I like that it was touched on here.

Ezra’s final temptation was solid. Palpy, ever the manipulator. The family dynamic worked so well in the series. I remember back when they revealed his parents had died that I thought that maybe they were alive. For a moment I thought they were gonna show up. Glad it was just an illusion though.

The guards looked more Royal Guardish helmet wise. But I instantly thought of the praetorian guards as well. Pretty bad ass weapons, too.

I am guessing they banged on Yavin at some point before the Lothal mission began.

The time jump has me so amped! Would love for the next show to be post ROTJ. It’s an era we haven’t gotten to see a lot of yet.

I have no clue how Ezra could survive. So glad Ashoka is still alive at that point. I wonder if Ezra saw his paths even before he saved her. Weren’t his final words to her “come find me”. Was he already referring to this? If so, why did she wait 8 years or whatever it is, not sure what the timeline is at this point from the finale to battle of Endor.

Loved that they gave a home to the name Jacen. I hope Jains finds a home one day with someone.

Also, did Hera do the same trick Han does in the Solo trailer by flipping a ship to smash a TIE?

    They better all be back!

    [/spoiler ]

I can’t wait for whatever comes next. I need it now!

Did Thrawn mention Admiral Pellaeon?!? Idk if he’s been mentioned before and I just don’t remember it but if so that’s awesome. I loved him back in the old EU.

I caught that as well. Pretty sure that was his first mention. And probably his last.

    Well, alrighty...

Filoni states in Rebels Recon that both Ezra and Thrawn 100% survive their jump

Yea I’m already anxious to hear Kens thoughts about the whales lol Definitely need to start listening to Force Center too. I really just watch Jedi Council.

it was the Leia book that had the Palpatine holo that looked normal when they were taking a tour of a museum on Coruscant I believe.

Ezras final temptation was really well done and visually stunning and very full circle, but it kind of reminded me of what he just went through with Kanan a little too much, but it still worked. Despite knowing he wouldnt do it I was still like "no. Ezra dont do it brother. DONT YOU DARE STICK YOUR HAND ON THAT PANEL!"

Yeah, it was more Royal Guard now thinking back just without the capes.

Ezra did say he had a vision at the start of the first episode, so maybe he did have a vision of this all. It wouldve been nice to see some kind of moment where he had a vision but no matter. I feel like he’s had visions earlier in the series.

I really didnt know anything about the name Jacen so I had to look it up lol once again tying Legends to Canon in weird ways. I dig it.

Oh yea forgot to mention that. That definitely was the same exact move in the trailer. Reminded me of how old Disney used to steal their own animations and stuff. I imagine this was first though right? Then maybe somebody was like “shit that’s cool. That’s probably play well in a movie too.”

Pretty good finale. Dunno how I feel about Space Whales saving the day. I like the wolves basically being Vader in rogue one haha

I sobbed uncontrollably at the end. Everything was so beautiful and seeing Ahsoka really just put me over the top. I honestly think it was some of the best Star Wars we have. That was incredible.

Can we skip the spoiler tags now? I want to talk more about the future but I don’t feel like doing it lol

Per policy we never needed to use them anyway since we only discussed it after it aired.

So will the next series follow: A) Ezra & Thrawn, B) Sabine & Ahsoka, C) Hera, Chopper, & the little mix breed boy, D) Kallus & Zeb, or E) All of the Above?

(I'll break the spoiler tag trend. I'm not scared.)

Idk. I hope it’s not just Rebels 2.0. I’d like to focus on Ashoka as a main character again and pushing Sabine up to a bigger role. Then small appearances from Hera zeb etc...

Yeah I imagine it'll follow Sabine and Ahsoka, and any other Rebels characters' roles will be similar in size to Ahsoka's in Rebels.

Just watched and holy shit. Need a minute, but I’m so pumped.

Love the idea of a Sabine/Ahsoka centered show looking for/at some point finding an older, badass Ezra and Thrawn somewhere in the Unknown Regions.

I hope it is similar to how Rebels relates to Clone Wars. But given that this will be able to have a more direct follow up, I expect at least a couple main characters to stay the same. But i so expect a lot of new characters and maybe some more new (new to animation) classic OT cameos.

There are a lot of options here.

Agreed. If it just feels like Rebels season 5, that’ll be a bit of a letdown (not the I’m expecting that from Filoni and crew).

I hadn’t even considered OT cameos, but that would be cool. So much to ponder in terms of direction.

Lucasfilm is perfect with timing. Rebels finishes yesterday. I got The Last Jedi novelization today. I was wondering how Id get my SW fix before Solo.

I mean if it takes place after ROTJ, a lot of OT favorites would clearly be around and would fit in story and time wise. It would be weird if at that point Ashoka is on a mission for a Jedi and we never see Luke.

So I know people are going to scoff but in my head canon Yoda was talking about Ezra in Empire as the “there is another.” I know he’s talking about Leia, but considering Leia isn’t as strong or trained, and Yoda has talked to Ezra and feels him in force, that makes more sense to me.

The storyline for this new show will be interesting. If it takes place after Endor who would the opposing force or the enemy? A rising First Order seems premature. I imagine they could get Hamill for a voice role for a Luke cameo.

This is premature to talk about but I hope the scope of the new show gets a little bigger. Bigger adventures. Less doing errands for the Rebellion.

I’d prefer if it’s not under Disney XD. Not that it has to be Clone Wars level brutal, but a little more darker IMO and less puffer pig and space whale stuff. Considering the show will probz go up on their streaming service next year hopefully we’ll get an announcement somewhat soon

I’m trying to stay away from building my hopes/expectations too much, but this is where moving to the Unknown Regions would make sense.

Welp. Way to get my hopes up because that makes way too much sense not to happen.

And if it doesnt happen Filoni ruined Star Wars forever

  24. This was fantastic. Seeing Ahsoka at the end was everything. I really do hope we get a series with her and Sabine.

    Just thought of something!!!!!

If it is in the Unknown regions....

SNOKE?? Filoni would be in charge of his origins / rise to power. Maybe he teams up with Thrawn?
