I'm so glad Hal called out the players and not the staff. Most times, and even with The Boss, the coaching staff would be getting the rake.

Love Girardi. The coaching staff in general I'm a little out of touch with since Kevin Long left but maybe that's where some changes lie along with the players.

 

I also just realized Marcus Thames is a hitting coach.

 

I don't even know the name of the hitting coach lol. Love Girardi too. But yeah he has not had a lot to work with and stats show that they won more games than they should have every one of the last three years. Logical that there'd be a year where it averages out but the good homestand gives me hope. Castro and Beltran have really been the only reliable hitters really this year. Hicks and Gregorius have picked it up lately.

 

Man the Cubs are annoying tonight. Runner on 3rd with 1 out twice and couldn't produce a run. Fucking Brewers too.

 

Mets hurt themselves tonight. Gotta come back and win tomorrow

 

2nd and 3rd with one out, top of the 9th. Let's go Cubs.

 

Well, at least Boston will likely win a game in this series. Great to see Price go almost 8 tonight.

 

My dad's first college roommate was Giradi's older brother. He kept on telling my dad his brother is going to be good and my dad sort of brushed it off as him playing up his little brother.

Yeah no doubt. Lots of missed opportunities that we haven't really been used to this year. I mean the last few games have been like that.
