I’m a little surprised by how much people like manila. Great song for sure but it’s probably middle tier on the record for me. My top 3 are charisma, fake, and dry spells.

 

Manila is a top 3 song on here

 

like every song is crazy memorable.

What is Manila, like the paper? Manila folders type deal? Or is there something I’m misskng

 

I assumed Manila, Philippines. But that doesn't fit. It's the only Manila I know.

Dry Spells and Bloody Sweet have become my two favorite songs on this album.

 

Manila hemp?

 

Manila is at the bottom for me personally. They are all great though.

 

Yeah I kinda agree that Manila is probably the weakest track. The vocal melodies just aren't as compelling on that one as some of the other songs. Bay of Dreams took me some time to warm up to just because it is so different, but that's the main reason I like it now.

This album finally clicked with me today, and I am so fucking happy

 

What the fuck, Manila is one of the most memorable songs on the album.

"And all that I taste now
Faint Manila, so familiar"

And that chorus just soars

 

I think I would relate better if I knew what Manila was and what I means in context to the song. Lol

 

Okay but what about literally every other word to the lyrics? I imagine it has to be the location, but I don't understand why anybody would get hung up over it

 

Blue is such a perfect song to end this album.

Song gets me everytime.

 

Isn't manila a type of folder? I thought it was just supposed to be something bland
