I think I described it before when I got my tv. that wasn't really a "Deal" more of me abusing best buy rewards system.

I used to collect receipts in the parking lot of best buy. I passed by it every day after school/work and lived very close so I would drive through and grab whatever receipts I could find. I'd put those in online in best buy rewards system adding the points to my account. after about a year I used about $1300 in rewards to buy a 55" led tv, a ps3, controller and games.

was pretty amazing.


used to get completely free stuff from KMart/sears because their reward system was dumb for like 4 months until they changed it. (I think they changed it because of me. haha.

got a bunch of clothes/tools/groceries, stuff, just random shit from there.

technially no it was not a coupon. it was an online offer for when you buy 3 pizzas save $3 off. they were on sale for $3 each, so they were about $2 each.

although eating chick fil a for free for about 7 months now is pretty remarkable.

also ate freebirds very cheap when they first had their app because it was buy a drink get a free entree so was $2.44 for that which I sometimes split into 2 meals.


also ate mcdonalds free for about 2 months 2 years ago.

if they do say something like "how did you get ..." I usually just say soemthing like "it's a good deal huh" haha deflect that as fast as I can.

That TV thing is pretty sweet. Do you use Ebates or Mr. Rebates?

 

they usually don't care as long as the register takes them. only really have a problem when they don't know how to do the coupons or the system is broken.

mcdonalds they just scan the barcode, at chick fil a I scan it. I don't know what they could really say. the coupon is technically valid.

 

ebates. but I'm very bad about using it. I just always forget.

bought the warranty for that tv too from best buy. after 3.5 years the backlight "went bad" and since they didn't repair those anymore they told me to return it to the store and they gave me a gift card for a comparable one. so then I got a gift card for $800 which I used to buy my current 55" tv, warranty and had leftover gift card which I am pretty sure the baclight is "going bad now too" and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need a 4k tv.
