My company should unblock Spotify. It would keep me from watching videos like rn.

 

I found out the IT guys at my new job read/watch/love Game of Thrones, so I'm trying to parlay that into admin rights on my computer. Our internet filters are pretty lax and no streaming services are blocked, but I can't install things or perform my own software updates, which is annoying af.

 

The only huge festival I've been to is Virgin Music Festival and I only went because tickets were free.

 

This is front row at the hangout fest where everyone was watching shit bands to get good spots for Foo Fighters. This went back so far I couldn't see the end of the crowd. And yeszzbig FF fan right here.

 

I'm so glad nothing's blocked on my work computer.

 

Last job I had, nothing was blocked but they didn't provide speakers. Literally everyone brought their own, though.

 

The only thing that's blocked that I know of is social media, but policy says we're not supposed to have any personal internet use if it takes more than a trivial amount of time. All my posts on here during work are from my phone sucked off in a corner. YouTube is definitely out, and so is music in general.

Y'all must have some lax jobs.

 

I'm pretty sure I abuse my internet privileges a lot more than anyone in this company.

We aren't even allowed to bring our cell phones or anything else with an internet connection/camera into the building. The number of sites blocked is absurd, too.

 

Where do you work?

 

My work doesn't really block any social media or whatever. I spend most of my time at work on Reddit and on here. YouTube isn't blocked but I can't watch anything with sound, so there's not really a point most of the time.

 

For the State Department. And I'm not even allowed to be more specific than that, they love their secrets!

When I was actually working out and running, I found that doing a little more lower leg-focused lifting than I might do normally really helped with that. And epsom salt baths, also.

My boss doesn't really care what I do at work. I've gone so far as playing my 3DS and he's seen and not cared. But I'm a receptionist and literally my only job right now is answering the phone. So as long as I answer the phone, he doesn't care what else I do.
