@Garrett L. if you were offered the opportunity to be one of the first people to colonize mars would you do it? Part of your responsibilities would be to institute a form of codified laws, formal government, and type of economy. What ideas would you present to the rest of the group to consider and possibly formalize as a guiding document for your mission? Would you offer to be a candidate as a decision maker on whatever style of governmental body you helped design?

I’d love to see space, but I don’t think I could give up earth honestly. Not with how much I haven’t seen yet.

I think the rules of terraforming and colonization are different on another planet due to lack of local resources so it would involve entirely different political ethos and mindsets than we currently have to choose between.

I don’t think I’m smart enough for that. But I do think it would need to be more authoritarian and capitalistic than democratic and socialistic for any chance of survival until the colony could sustain itself without a pipeline back to Earth.

I just had a PB&J and yogurt two hours ago for a super late lunch/early dinner. Can’t eat much substance with how much my teeth hurt right now.

I think the yachts you rent over there have all that, yeah.

Venice to Piran, Slovenia to Split, Croatia (quick trip inland to the Plitjvices) to Dubrovnik, Croatia to a quick stop in Montenegro and Albania to say I did it. Athens, Santorini, Mikonos... yeah.

Favourite albums of 2018 so far?

Who are some under appreciated actors that you absolutely love?

What are some lyrics that have made you cry? And which songs changed your life?

I've been pretty underwhelmed thus far by 2018 albums. Black Panther The Album may be the one I've liked the most. Jeff Rosenstock, maybe.

Josh Hutcherson is actually pretty great. I loved his new show on Hulu (Future Man) and don't really know any other actor that would've fit into that role very well. I think Sean Astin is criminally underrated and what he did as Samwise Gamgee should've won every supporting actor award ever created and he didn't even get nominated. He's delightful in Stranger Things S2, too.

I should have better answers for that question but I'm not nearly as into film so it's mostly big names that get me excited. Oh! Idris Elba. He's fantastic in pretty much anything.

Some lyrics that have made me cry:

"Tie me up, untie me! All this wishing I was dead is getting old, it's getting old, it goes on, but it's old." - mewithoutYou, "Tie Me Up! Untie Me!"

Pretty much all of "Brightest" by Copeland and "Transatlanticism" by Death Cab For Cutie.

I swear more have, but I'm totally blanking right now.

Some songs that have changed my life:

"Until The Day I Die" by Story of the Year introduced me to screaming music which led me to Underoath, Thrice, As Cities Burn... so I've got to give them a lot of credit.

Ellie Goulding's "Hanging On" really met me in a deep rut of depression and gave me a lifeline. Same with Thrice's "Music Box" and "For Miles."

Copeland's "When You Thought You'd Never Stand Out" is super important to me and I don't mention it very much.

I suppose if I'm wanting tattoos from it, I need to mention As Cities Burn's "Incomplete Is A Leech."

Taylor Swift's "Red" instantly transports me to the best three months of my life every time.
