Empire Plaza was insane. Caught most of my shiny there. Then we drove over to Washington Park where we found the 100% and another shiny.

 

Anyone been using the quick-catch method/glitch? Mastered it today and if you’re using a star piece you can catch like two or three times as many Pokémon within the 30 minutes. Super helpful.

Also, got my 3rd Mewtwo today. All 3 are mediocre sadly. 71%, 80%, and 82%.

I'm still pretty upset that I didn't get a Dragonite during the event with Draco Meteor. I was under the impression that any Dratini caught during the event could learn it, but I didn't know that they had to be evolved during the event. I waited until after the event so that I could evolve the strongest Dratinis I found, and then ended up not getting the move on them. It's not the worst thing ever because I still caught 5 or 6 shinies and ended up with some new Dragonites. I'm just bummed that the instructions were unclear and/or I misread the event description.

 

yeah, i totally get ending the catching at 5, but there's no reason not to allow a couple of hours more for the evolution

 

Haha if it's only a Rayquaza we'd need maybe 4 others. Took one down this morning with 9 in like 45 seconds.

I have yet to actually catch a raid at The Egg, but I walk the empire plaza all the time because the spawns there are the best besides Troy. You must have an army of good shit.

 

i was surprised to find 14 people out there ready to go, it was a Groudon and took like 30 seconds!

i have no good shit haha. i was lapsed for too long, this was only my third legendary raid, and only second success. hopefully i'll get there.

 

Yeah i'd say if you pop it open randomly while you're working right there every once in a while, you're bound to see at least one thing worth throwing a ball at.

 

I’ve now caught 8/13 Rayquaza after missing I think my first four or five. Feels good.

Also 4/4 on Groudon after missing him entirely the first go around.

 

I just wish they would have brought back Ho-Oh. I think it might be the only legendary that hasn't gotten a second release for those who missed it if I'm not mistaken and of course it's the only one I missed....

 

What's your best Rayquaza? I'm hoping for at least a 96% before it's gone.

 

I don't recall seeing Lugia come back at all after its 1 month while the other Legendary birds got a week each, then all came back together for an extra week. Definitely the one legendary I want to see come back most. I did work with Ho-Oh and wound up with 13 of them.

 

93%, haven’t powered it up yet in the hopes I get a better one but this one is more than sufficient. I haven’t cared as much about IV’s lately since I read more about them and realized that a 100IV Pokémon versus a 0% IV in battle doesn’t make too big of a difference. I still try to only power up my best but it’s not as important to me as it used to be.

 

I think Lugia came back with the other birds but I could be mistaken. And I don’t think the dogs ever came back either. Missing Articuno, Suicune, and Ho-Oh unfortunately.

 

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Lugia came back when the first round of birds came back, but now that I'm thinking about it I'm pretty sure the dogs never came either. So, I wouldn't mind a return of the dogs either considering I only got one of each and their IV's were all in the 70's.

However, I am pretty excited about the return of Groudon because I only got one when they were initially released.

 

Hmmm maybe I just didn't see a single one during the week the birds came back. I only have 2 Lugia, and that's the minimum number i've had for every Legendary so far.

Edit: And neither are anything to write home about.

I see a pretty decent amount of Bulbasaur already haha

 

ivysaur is my favorite poke and i don't see a ton of 'em, still don't even have a venasaur (i also didn't play for over a year)

 

Yeah Bulbasaur are everywhere around here and I have 5 Venasaur and a 93% Bulbasaur I’m waiting for enough candies to evolve. But the triple stardust will stilll be nice, and the chance of more shinies.
