the self-titled has a lot of really fun guitar songs

the guitar work on the s/t is awesome as usual for them but everything else just shouldn't even have been attempted

  3. The spoken word parts of Critical Acclaim are genuinely funny

The only ones on self titled I still like are unbound, brompton cocktail, and scream

I had no idea but that makes a ton of sense. Cool little fact.

I'm bummed that Brooks won't be on the next Bad Religion album. Through them he became my favorite drummer.

this isn't really an opinion or anything but we're talking about A7X in here so it seems like the only place to put it. was digging through some old CDs of my youth and remembered literally the weirdest thing that has ever happened in the history of music; Crossfade (of "Cold" fame) making a fucking bomb ass 11 minute prog metal track

revisiting the self-titled and it still mostly sucks but "Gunslinger" is kinda sweet

    No Fun. Not Ever.

Only song from the self titled I ever enjoyed was "Afterlife", and that's purely because it was on the NHL 09 soundtrack.

2000s indie rock as a whole (obviously there are good bands here and there, this isn't meant to be all encompassing) was a much worse era than 90s or 10s indie rock

LOST was fantastic and I even jam with the weird Cher style auto tune on Shadows vocals.

    This is a fair take.

This is an awful take. Sound The Seventh Trumpet and Waking the Fallen or BUST, BABY.

Sounding the seventh trumpet is a really endearing scrappy west coast metallic punk album

i know. it's way more endearing that it should be. lips of deceit and the art of subconscious illusion are legitimate bangers. warmness on the soul is so cheesy that it's almost endearing. streets is so out of place on the record that it's hard not to hate it. i should revisit that album today.

Turn the other way is still one of their best songs imo

A7X was the band that got me into metal and I was obsessed with them from like 05-08 and learning their riffs pretty much made me a decent guitarist, so I'm a little biased in favor of them

90s and 00s indie rock is my fave but I'd have to say 90s>>>>>

Idk what is considered 00s indie rock. I have fallen outta the genre a bit!

i feel like that's like the strokes, arctic monkeys, deerhunter, spoon, arcade fire, the shins era of indie rock. obviously there are good ones (the national obviously, interpol has some good records) but generally that sound feels less interesting to me than 90s indie rock or this new era of the 10s

Oops I do know 00s indie rock I meant 10s indie rock lol typing is hard for me apparently

the first albums by bloc party and arctic monkeys are some of the best albums of all time, let alone indie albums
