About to finish my first listen now and I’m pretty blown away by this. It’s my favorite of the year so far, I think. Gotta give PBTT more attention but this is hitting me way more immediately than that at least.

 

I get the Sidekicks comparison in the vocals, but musically I think this band is doing stuff way ahead of that band. Don’t get me wrong, I really like The Sidekicks, they just are a bit more one-note compared to this.

 

Okay I know I’m spamming now but it just started over and I think I’m gonna go ahead and let it play till the end again. I’m enamored. Even down to the production and mixing, I love this thing.

 

Keep it coming! I wanna read people gush over this for the rest of time

I love how creatives it is with chord professions and harmony. Lots of interesting choices that really work imo

 

I’d add structure and instrumentation too. It’s also incredibly paced, I listened twice in a row and never felt any significant lull or dip in quality, and every time a new song started it felt like exactly where the album should go next.

 

Is All Saints Day the best song of all time? Who's to say?

Seeing that live with the sax at the release show was the most rad

 

I definitely didn’t hear The Sidekicks at all but I kinda hear it in the vocals/harmonies now

But I’m excited to continue listening to this

 

Couldn’t even tell you my favorite song here yet tbh, it’s all super consistent (p much every song has a standout moment) and I didn’t pay attention to titles.

All Saints Day is really cool tho and I’m super into the closer.

 

kissing is awesome. the song is cool too.

 

Obscured by light is still my favorite on here. A lot of this blurs together for me but the stretch from kissing til the end is pretty tops

 

I love the riffs on conscience in Tumult

 

Canopy Eyes may be my favorite song on here, I really hope this record doesn't get slept on.

Good lineup

 

Canopy Eyes is so incredibly good, like wow. I think it’s my definitive favorite. The way the tone shifts in the chorus is breathtaking.

man this did absolutely nothing for me after one listen.

 

Definitely a grower

 

It hit me immediately, but I can see it being a grower for most folks. I think this album is just exactly what I needed at the moment, musically speaking.

 

I feel like if I didn't see the songs so many times before listening it definitely would have taken a minute to click
