I love how much we all love this band.

 

If accusations against any of the members of JEW popped up, I would be totally crushed.

Jimmy Eat World is my favorite band of all time, so this was really difficult, but in chronological-ish order:

So much missing, but I did my best. I couldn't pick a single song to take off at this point, so there's eleven, lol. I couldn't really pick a favorite album. Futures is probably the most intensely personal to me, but like...the good old weirdness of Clarity, the fun and catchiness of S/T and Chase This Light, Invented is really personal to me too, and then Damage and Integrity Blues are like...a new era of Jimmy, so. Like I said, it was difficult.

I feel bad for only picking one song from CTL...There's not a song I dislike on that album, it's just not quite as personal to me as others. But like Carry You and Firefight almost made the list. I don't know. It was hard.

 

Here It Goes has gotta be their catchiest song

 

Big Casino was actually the first JEW song I ever heard.

I also think I agree with FTank about Here It Goes.

 

I don't know the first JEW song I heard, but I do remember watching the Pain music video on Fuse.

I didn't get back into them until My Best Theory came out though. I was a little older and had matured past Blink and Sum into JEW's music.

 

first JEW song i heard was the middle, im surprised how many people missed it. i was only ten but it made me seek out the album even that young.

Same, it used to come on the radio and I loved it. My sister and I got the album, and I remember that "Get It Faster" used to kind of creep me out at ten years old because the intro made me think someone was sneaking up on me. :)

 

The Middle was inescapable, definitely the first song of theirs I heard. I’m not exactly sure why I started getting into them since I didn’t listen to them until 2012

Nothing got me more pumped to bust out some Christ-Air-900-into-nose-manuals than this song.

Then I stole the CD from my sister who owned it due to her obsession with One Tree Hill.

I was 10 years old. Favorite band since. I owe Tony Hawk and Chad Michael Murray more than anyone could know.

 

Makes sense. My parents got XM radio right around the time Invented came out and Alt Nation played My Best Theory a loooooooot. I remember I just happened to be listening when they did the exclusive premiere of Stop.

 

i modified my playlist in THUG2 to only play pain and thats why they call it a union

 

That's Why They Call it a Union is also a great song

 

the alt station in my home city was playing my best theory a lot in 2010 too that was a minor hit
