someone drive me to SF please. i am not looking forward to this, even though i need to do it for life goals

 

That drive is butts. Doesn't matter which way you go. traffic is garbage.

I think 280 or whatever it is is a bit prettier though

right now google says it'll take an hour or so to get up, but traffic radio says getting back will be a nightmare as usual

 

280 is a really nice drive up, particularly in the mornings when there's still fog in the hills

 

Yeah, I’d honestly just stay until like 7 to avoid traffic haha

 

i planned to do that but my girlfriend got us steaks for dinner and she is going to sous vide them while i drive home lol

 

How do I start liking beer? It would make my life really easy if I liked beer

Guinness, PBR, yuengling, corona, heineken, bud light lime. I think that's it for like easy stuff unless you count ciders which I like a lot

Guinness is....fine I guess? PBR is basically water so I don't mind it but I don't like it enough to seek it out. Yuengling is probably my favorite that I've tried. The others are kind of actively gross, Heineken maybe a tad less so

Not for a little while. I mean, I get most evenings off during the week, but it's been hectic with different meetings happening like every evening this week. Then Saturday is a big beer release we're having at the brewery which is a 12 hour day, Sunday I'm supposed to go hang with a couple of my close friends I've known for 15+ years which will be awesome, but it's an hour drive one-way and will eat up all of my Sunday. I'll enjoy it, but there's basically no decompression time. I have an event on Monday evening, nothing yet on Tuesday, event in Metro Detroit Wednesday night (90 minute drive home afterwards), meeting the next thursday at 5-6 pm, event next friday which is a weird lunch-time event but then that just puts me 2+ hours behind my normal work schedule then winter beer fest next saturday which is an hour away and is like a 10 hour day. Then for my job during the day on top of that which is fine. So, Sunday the 25th right now is my next full day away from work and all to myself.

I feel dumb complaining about it since it's part of the job and at almost all of these events I'm buying beer, putting into samples and walking around explaining the brewery, the beer, and handing out free samples. It's not hard, but the last like 10 days have been jam packed and it's not letting up, so all of the Sales Mike is wearing out Normal Mike.
