I hate my hometown enough to write like 3 pop punk albums worth of material but I'm not into that nasally voice that often accompanies the music

My hometown is so bad that our Member of Parliament actually stood up and in it's defence claimed it to be "the most average town in Britain."

That is him trying to big us up. There is nothing positive to say about this place.

Alt-J's first album was cool. I saw them at Reading when they headlined the second stage and clashed with Eminem, doing half and half.

Alt-J were far superior live.

lennon acted like too much of a visionary, paul was in it for the money, and george was a good boi so it had to be ringo. i'll also accept that it could have been stuart sutcliffe

My unpopular musical opinion for the morning:

Most craft beers that were "collaborations" with bands have sucked to me. I had Obituary/Three Floyds "Hopped in Half" last night, and it was a mediocre as all hell pilsner. This kind of content might be more suited for the beer thread though...but it's the first unpopular musical opinion that came to mind that wasn't related to Deafheaven, but I think I've beaten that horse a few times over to death at this point on this site.

My ongoing list of thoughts as I read this discussion that exploded this morning:

Tell that to the nerds in the Tour Prediction and Speculation thread who will rise to the defense of pop punk the moment you even joke about it in there...

Again, to reiterate, we're in the Unpopular Music Opinions thread. People are going to share their hot takes here because from the outside it's viewed as a safe space to do it in. It's not like we're advocating for people to stop listening to music or saying one person's musical taste is better than another.

The NOFX Punk in Drublic beer actually wasn't that bad.

 

like i said, it's most likely a combination of the collaborations that i've had and that a lot of them have been metal band collabs with three floyds, which consistently makes middling, overpriced beer as it is (their beers are good, but not $12-$14 six-pack good). the collab pig destroyer did with three floyds (permanent funeral) is out of this world though...forgot about that one when i was making the post.

Sure, rap was a bad example to use but the point still stands. Overgeneralization about genres being bad is dumb
