I had to pull the trigger and order the gold and black splatter variant. It's just a million times better than the black or clear ones we're getting here in the US. Worth the extra shipping for sure.

Now I just need all of the lyrics, and this will be an AOTY contender.

 

I have been late to work before because I had parked, but Keep You was finishing up so I just sat there. You can't simply turn it off and walk away in the middle of "Say Nothing".

 

We're a month and a half into 2018 and there's already talk of aoty lol

 

I don’t think this album has aged very well, unfortunately

 

Man the genius annotations for keep you are awesome but they are also borderline creepy with the info they have about kyles personal life

 

For me it's one of those albums that immediately hit me and gripped me like albums that end up high in my AOTY lists. That makes me confident listing it as a strong contender.

 

Keep You was top 5 for 2014, and this is hitting me in a similar way, so yeah, I don't think it's too crazy.

 

Playing keep you and wait for love back to back, these albums inform each other a ton. Also sonically are way different.

 

The bass playing/tone is way dirtier on this record and I definitely dig it

 

I just watched all 3 music videos back to back and am excited!

Seriously this year is gonna be nuts with mwy, la dispute, and thrice all battling this for those top spots. Camp cope is gonna make a strong push as well I think. Then there’s always that sleeper record that comes out of nowhere for me. But I don’t think it’s too early to say that this album is going be in the mix. The good news is that I’ll never complain about too much good music.

 

The vocal delivery on bay of dreams really shows how much Kyle has developed into a melodic singer. It evokes sooo much emotion without relying on his upper range, stays within a very small melodic pattern and uses the delivery to draw you in.
