its 2016 and im still throwing down on people in Brand New news posts for acting like Daisy is objectively bad. Thrice is putting out an album, and Thursday is teasing stuff. Glassjaw put out a single this year and Radiohead dropped an album in a week.

What a time to be alive.

 

Doubt it, Its pretty rare for "rock" sounding bands to blow up right now

 

I'd be intrigued to see Brand New take on a poppier sound a la Nightmare of You. No idea if I'd like it, but it'd definitely be something different.

Also I love the clip. My wife said it sounds like Your Favorite Weapon. I think it would fit nicely with the Demos personally. I am so excited.

I also just want to take this moment to... well, not say "I told you so" but really thats what i'm saying. I've been saying for the past few weeks something was coming soon. And thats the end of my high horse, soap box gloating.

My fiance's (until Saturday OMG) favorite band is Radiohead so there has been all sorts of excitement in the house this week.

For this new song to be released tonight WHILE HES STILL SLEEPING!! is almost unbearable. I've convinced him once to see BN (Summerfest)...we're seeing BN/MM this summer in Chicago.

In the grand scheme of things, I think their fanbase is pretty small. They're just extremely devoted. I could be wrong, but I don't think most people in the general public have heard of Brand New.

Maybe, admittedly I don't really have facts to back up what I'm saying, it's just conjecture

 

I've always felt that, at least here in KC, brand new is pretty well-known.

 

Idk, my fiance has a WIDE range of musical interest. He had heard of BN but only associated them with genres relevant to YFW. He is a musical genius but doesn't know much about BN...other than You Won't Know or Jesus because they're my favorites.

909,036 on facebook alone have "liked"" them compared to 396,245 for Thrice. It's pretty crazy but it seems like Brand New have gotten bigger since Daisy yet they have released pratically nothing. I find that to be quite fascinating, unique and impressive

 

They sell out pretty decent places. It always suprises me how many people I know know all their stuff who don't even listen to the genre

Saw this site's news post pop up on my Facebook feed and proceeded to audibly exclaim loud enough for all 3 of my roommates to ask what was up. And I don't regret it one bit.
