Yeah that's what I'm thinking as well. It was really funny though to see him ogle at her while scarfing that piece of meat down.

Did someone say that it is assumed that Jon and Sansa had a conversation about him coming back from the dead? Because I thought after he finished his little monologue about fighting and still losing, that she was going to question how he had lost.

I feel they need to touch on that somehow. And with every other person at Castle Black gossiping about it too, she has to know.

In the scene immediately after they hugged, Sansa asked where will they go and Jon said "I can't stay there after what happened", so I think it's safe to assume he told her offscreen. Which I think is fine, they really didn't need to show that happening but they could have made it more obvious in their conversation.

Interesting that Jon can't stay at Castle Black after what happened to him, while Sansa is the one pushing to return to Winterfell. I guess it shows that Winterfell is truly Sansa's home and she isn't going to let Ramsay take that away from her regardless of how hard he tried, whereas Jon doesn't have the same "home" attachment to Castle Black.

did anyone else think dany burning down a temple full of khals, most of whom never did anything wrong to her apart from perhaps insulting and threatening her moments prior, was unjustifiable / excessively cruel / out of character?

Eh, they've been known to collectively do some pretty terrible things anyways (besides the fact that she was being held hostage). Didn't he threaten to rape her right before that, as well? The rest of them stood by and kept silent. Somewhat justifiable.

Also think because being made Dosh Khaleen is just another name for slavery, too, just this time by location and not by chains. Dany has absolutely NOTHING to do with slavery and wouldn't stand for it. Which, relatedly, should lead to an amazing conversation with Tyrion regarding this week's events when/if she gets back to Mereen.

A lot of people expect that Brienne and Tormund won't continue to be in proximity to one another?. However, Brie is sworn to Sansa now, Sansa and Jon are going to stick together to get Winterfell back, and it was already discussed that the wildling army might help them take back Winterfell. That scenario would leave Brienne and Tormund not just travelling together, but also fighting side-by-side. And I'm down to see that action too!

Without spoiling too much if yo uwant to stay unsullied, but there were a few scenes shown in the trailers for Season 6 that seemed to indicate that Brienne was in a place at some point this season that isn't The North.

  10. Right, but its entirely plausible that Brienne is in the Riverlands on Sansa's request, leaving it open that Brienne will eventually end up back in the North and by Sansa's side as she is sworn. I mean, I can't really see Sansa dismissing her for any reason at this point.

It was justified... They took her prisoner, made a mockery of her, and made excessive threats to her as to what they had planned. Also, out of character? She had the slaver's of Mereen nailed to crosses and left to rot in the sun....

The only thing that was out of character was Jorah looking surprised.

  14. Does Dany have any reason to honor Tyrion's 7 year deal, especially if she shows up in Mereen with the entire Dothraki army at her command?

Tyrion's political skills are pretty much her only chance at conquering Westeros, imo. She loses him, she loses any chance at Westeros.

  16. Why would she lose him though? Do you think he would abandon her if she goes back on a deal he made with the masters? I mean, the only people I see getting pissed off if that deal is broken are the masters... and I kinda expect them to be dead anyway if she shows up with that army.

Something else that just clicked for me as to why Dany killed all of the leading Dothraki. She had intended on drafting their army, partially for her future intentions and also because she was Khaleesi. In order to do so she had to remove anyone that would question her leadership, as well as make an impression on their people to show them why she is ruler. She accomplished that pretty well I think.

I'm just responding to the questioning of why she would be so cruel to kill them and it being out of character.

I don't get why Dany killing people (esp in situations where she stands to gain a lot from it) is considered out of character.

-She burned the witch alive at the end of Season 1
-She allowed her dragons to kill Pyat Pree, then sealed Xaro and Doreah in a vault and left them to die.
-She has the Unsullied kill the slave masters of Astapor, and orders Drogon to kill Kraznys.
-She has 163 slave masters of Mereen crucified, and then later has her dragons kill one of the leaders of one of Mereen's noble families in front of the others.

So Cersei is full of shit right? And just wants the Tyrell army to take the brunt of the conflict. I doubt Margaery's walk of shame is Tommen's "secret."

I honestly thought that's what it was, and that she was using the info to get back into a position of power AND have the Tyrell army take the brunt of the attack to weaken their army.

It is Cersei though so definitely wouldn't be shocked if there's something else going on we don't know about yet.

Cersei has always kept her enemies close. She has limited resources now, so her first step was reversing Margaery's effect on Tommen, next she'll use the Tyrell's to fight the faith militant, and once that's over with, I only see her doing what she can to remove them altogether from power.
