not at all! i knew i was attracted to men somewhere in my mid-teens, though i still found myself attracted to some women and still dated women in high school. i came out to my family late in high school, during senior year, which was very easy for me outside of the personal agony of finally getting the nerve to sit my mother down - i knew i had a very loving, understanding family who wouldn't care. i used going away to a college in a different state as an excuse to start fresh and that was when i started to be out in public to those other to my close friends and family.
