Who said that? It's one of two songs that took me awhile to get into haha. Hopefully comments like those aren't the reason they regressed in sound back to a more pop sound.

Frost Flower. Courage’s chorus suuuuucks, frost’s is great

Between. This would’ve been a good final, and I originally wrote HM, but if any closer deserves to win its album, it’s this one.

Closure/Rebirth. Snake was my first or second favorite for a while, and while the second verse remains one of my favorite album moments, closure tops it.

Ancient Tombs. Canine’s chorus is the only part of it that sticks out to me. Meanwhile tombs might have my favorite chorus.


Most of my favorites are in this round, next one will be a lot easier for me. I started to appreciate this record a lot more only recently.

 

Comments of the YouTube/Facebook variety I believe. Buddy seems to constantly change his mind on things. One moment SF is a hardcore band and now SF sounds like 2002 again to paraphrase him.

Sad but true.

Granted a non hardcore sound can still work since there are a ton of lighter SF songs I love, including 3 of the 4 Count Your Bliss EP songs that are really well written. His screaming is so good though, it'll be missed.

 

I missed out on voting for NYE, even if it wouldn't have quite changed anything :(

Also will vote on this tomorrow, I need to relisten, so I'll probably join next round.

I would give a lot to get another record like Renacer from Buddy. Renacer means so much to me.

The lyrics are so inspirational and uplifting. They’re wise. The music is heavy as hell while staying interesting and not becoming generic. The production is bad ass too.

Too bad a ton of Senses Fail fans are awful and still want to hear 187 live ugh lol. Those are the fans who really missed out on this amazing record and the ones who probably only dug “Ancient Tombs” - the safest and least ambitious song on the record.

 

Correct on all accounts, but Ancient Tombs still jams!

 

Senses Fail Setlist at House of Blues, Anaheim

This show was amazing. They will never have this many Renacer songs on a set again, barring any anniversary shows. Just a bummer that 187 made it over any Waiting Room songs.

 

Yeah that was a great tour. I hope they bring warpaint and lifeboats back as well

 

I definitely like Ancient Tombs, there isn’t one song on Renacer I dislike, but I definitely think it’s the most “Senses Failish” for the fans. Plus Buddy actually said the same thing on some Pure Volume interview for the record haha

 

Damn that set list is killer. Wish I saw them when they were touring on Renacer.

 

That is a great set. My favorite set I've ever seen them play was Senses Fail Setlist at The Firebird, St. Louis

Some good Renacer songs and then my two favorite Waiting Room songs.

To me there is no perfect SF setlist out there because out of my 3 favorite albums (Waiting Room, Fire and Renacer) they only play songs from one of them and the rest are staples from LIEY and SS. A set list made up of songs from those three albums plus a few from the LIEY/SS would be amazing.

 

My dream setlist (if I was doing an 18 song standard) would probably be:
