probably my least favorite song on the record so far even though I do like it, just not a huge fan of sounds not made by guitars.

 

yeah the amount of restraint on that record is insane.

 

I think with Keep You there was the shock factor since it was SOO different from The Lack Long After.
This is more a natural expansion/progression from Keep You

 

Favorite as of now for me is Bloody Sweet. I love the tones on that song

 

It will grow on you.

 

I listened to LLA for the first time ever last week, absolutely overwhelmed by how much I like it.

 

I think mine is either forever sound, for when kicks in towards the end, or blue, for the vocal melodies.

 

I had the same thing with Eden by Fjørt, absolutely love it now, esp after hearing it live.

 

Agreed. I can't pick a favourite really.

actually my favorite is Charisma and I'm not even sorry.

 

This is going to be one of those records where my favourite constantly shifts.

 

But yeah, honestly it could be any song after my next run through

 

LLA is so devastating. I can’t imagine how a band goes about the transition from that album to Keep You. I’d be so stressed about how fans would react to the change

 

I mean if you're calling AOTY after one listen, surely you do care how you feel later? I mean I'm not trying to rain on any body's parade, this is one of my favourite bands. I just think people can go overboard on initial hype.

I did it with ManOrch for example, I thought their last was amazing when I first heard it but now I don't listen to it at all.

 

Turned out being a bloody sweet chance they took.

 

I see what your saying, but we don't know how he was feeling in that moment. Maybe he just connected with it that deeply that he could come to that conclusion/

 

I've noticed that this is only an issue when a band's quality also declines with their stylistic change, every fan they drop will be replaced by multiple new ones.

 

I think deep down they knew they would be okay, because they were about to release a masterpiece.

 

Sure, and I was just responding to post in a thread that somewhat related to me given that I love Keep You. Like,I didn't mean "you shouldn't feel like that" just what I feel about throwing AOTY mentions after the first couple of hours with an album, you know?

 

I’m willing fully commit this to my top 10 of the year lol
