We have been friends and casually texting/seeing each other (with mutual friends) off and on for the last month or two. I called her just now and after telling her got hung up on, but at least I didn’t repeat how I failed Jenn when I found El.

we’ll see. she said she doesn’t want the story to upset me, so im braced for the worst. all I know so far is last night she told me she almost got married. that kind of thing doesn’t upset me, would be dumb to expect someone i was that in love with to go through a three year dry spell lol.

 

@Shrek i feel like we have pretty similar situations. I don't have advice because I haven no idea how I want to proceed.

 

she’s gonna hit me with an “hour of text” here in a bit. i see two possible outcomes:

1) she is still in love with, hurt by, or working things through with ex-fiancé. at that point, ill be there as a friend and if she winds up back with him tell her i should back out of regular texting out of respect and try to be happy for her

2) it’s literally anything else, none of which would matter to me and I’d happily ride the single wave while we got to know each other again and figure out what’s still there and what isn’t

 

my girlfriend is visiting her mom this weekend and its the first time weve been apart for more than a day in like, almost a year, i have no idea what to do with myself im so bored omg
