I've mostly gone down to about 10 releases a year, and then around the holidays I ask my family for older records, and since Ive got a big family, it works out pretty well for me haha

 

Just grabbed The Bends, OK Computer, and Hail to the Thief.

These Amazon deals have been so tempting. My collection is around 300 now and about 100 more I inherited from my parents old house. I need to prioritize.

I've probably asked this before, but what is everyone's monthly budget on vinyl?

I try to not spend more than $100. Lately I've been trying to stay around $50

 

177 - 12" records
45 - 7" records
2 - 10" records

I probably bought the majority of these immediately after college when I was living rent free at home and working. Saved as much as I could to move out and pre-ordered EVERYTHING. I've slowed down tremendously since moving into NYC, for both financial and space reasons.

 

I don’t have one but I’ve been seriously considering implementing one.

 

I should build it into my budget, might start doing this.

 

i know... the local record store here has used 7" records for 50 cents each, and there's just so many good ones that i just couldn't pass up... haha. most of my 7" records are used 70s-80s singles.

The new Wonder Year's album is up for preorder. The booklet looks nice, but $50 is a tad steep for something not named The Alchemy Index.

I went for the book they ended up selling out of on the TWYs' own website. Was a bit of a better deal with the passport holder and a poster (also its /750 compared to /2500) instead of just the book from hopeless

 

That pressing looks nicer anyway. I just can't risk dropping that on an album I'm unsure I will like. I'm one of those casual TWY fans, if such a thing exists.

 

Grabbed the standard TWY vinyl from Loneliest Place.

 

I got the Hopeless pre-order w/the book. I know it's not as good of a deal but I like the variant way more, so I'm pleased. Can't wait for it to arrive! I've also got my pre-order of Senses Fail's new album coming next week, and when I ordered that I picked up In Love & Death and the first Trash Boat album. Needless to say my addiction is out of control but it's going to be a fun few weeks of jamming.

Was gifted a subscription to Vinyl Me Please for Christmas, this month I got Moby’s Play and two other random af ones that I had no idea were coming. Didn’t realize it all came with artwork and stuff too, this is really cool

 

That worries me. I know I was charged. I have the original so it wouldn’t be that big of a deal. I need to see what happened.
