I also wish Blink would just fulfill their contract duties and go independent. Break the damn mold. Do what you want. I wish that was their mindset.

 

I assume they'll copy + paste everything they did with California since it got them a #1 album.

 

I think it's clear they ARE doing what they want. They're all very close with Feldmann and obviously feel a comfort with him.

And the label situation is probably fluid. California is credited as (c) Viking Wizard Eyes and licensed to BMI. I'm sure they have enough power in their contract that they're not bowing to label bosses.

I would’ve loved Stevenson produced blink. But I’ll take anything over 7 years of “soon!”

Yeah that’s what I thought but by the looks of Matt and Travis’ IG accounts it looks like they might be filming a music video or photo shoot or something like that.

Either way really interesting whatever is going on in those pictures.

 

Surprise album drop on Friday. Feldy got everybody hopped up on coffee one day and they did a whole album

That said, SUPER glad some conversations that were had were had. LOTS of great info that was unfortunate to see people shying away from hard subjects. I had liked that pic of Matt on instagram with the shirt because I knew he was a volunteer FF and came at it from that POV - and I have friends that are cops. THAT SAID - MAN was I educated here. Thanks. I hope we continue to not be afraid of these conversations.

Second half of TOYPAJ is better than the first.

The album opens with Anthem Part 2. His point is moot right there.

 

I’d take the bottom 6 over the first 7 tracks (if I had to choose)

 

I’ll take the first half but I never really play the album anymore, it’s the one album of theirs that I feel too old for

 

For as long as I remember I've never been crazy about the second half of TOYPAJ. Give Me One Good Reason and Shut Up are two of my least favorite prime-era songs by them and I've always found Roller Coaster and Everytime I Look For You overrated too
