The Get Better tour last year was so great. Cayetana and Mikey Erg too!

They definitely need to tour for the new album soon

twy/sorority noise/the flatliners/remo drive/mom jeans - indulge me by booking like the 5 pop punk bands I still listen to
(flatliners aren't pop punk but their newer stuff would resonate so well on a twy tour)

that seems very against the sort of tour TWY wants to do

I would love TWY with Flats but I feel like TWY fans wouldn't really be into them

TWY/Menzingers coheadline was always a cool thought but I think we're past that at this point

still can't believe that TWY/menz/laura tour that we all dreamed of never happened

sorority noise is already on their tour, and haven't they toured w/ mom jeans before?

either way, idk who the flatliners fanbase really is in 2018. when i was into them hard it was back when they were ska punk so their shows would be all the dirty ska kids with dreads and cutoffs

That would have been top notch

Their shows have no one at them anymore unfortunately lol

    Things have changed.

    DEATH to five-band tours.

i mostly mean that it feels like TWY is actually trying to diversify their tours, ever since that horrific tour with mobo/real friends and others their tours have been much better representation wise. that tour also wasn't even supposed to be five dude bands until two tours got merged too..

5 band tours don't even really do well for the first of 5 because the set times usually have them playing immediately after doors open and they play to no one

agreed- i literally just started typing up bands as I named them haha
don't remember that tour. hoping they didn't make it an all male tour on purpose

5 band tour with the two local openers ftw

apparently it was two three band tours that got merged and the woman got cut...or that's the rumor i heard

that's gotta be an american thing, haha. they just headlined an 850 capper in MTL with AWS & Single Mothers opening. granted they were doing the great awake front to back, but it's cool that one of my OG warped tour bands is still kicking it. sucks to see canadian bands fall flat south of the border

Yeah it's been a bummer, I don't know though could just be Cleveland? I saw them in Buffalo last year and it was pretty empty as well though

They used to draw really well but the change in sound pissed off a lot of their fans I think

In the US they usually headline 100-150 capacity rooms, I think. I don't know that doing any of their albums front to back would lead to bigger venues either, unfortunately. I think if Cavalcade had come out the time that The Great Awake did, though (or even a few years later than when it was initially released), they'd be in a very different spot... That kind of music was a bit out of fashion at that time.

They still get decent support tours, though, and folks seem to like them when they watch them.

Worth noting too, that A Wilhelm Scream is probably a pretty big draw as an opener which may have bolstered the venue size a bit.

I think they fucked up by having such a long intro on that first track. I can see people being immediately turned off by it, haha. While there's like, what? Three slower tracks? The rest of the record isn't far off from other shit they've done in the past. Maybe just not as fast? I don't know. I love it, though.

They need to get on some bigger, "less punk" tours and get in front of people other than their usual "I used to only listen to Fat Wreck bands and go to Fest now" crowd.

    Yeah agreed fully here

But when Cavalcade came out they were doing pretty well around here I think

Anyone know anything more about this?

  23. Apparently the TWY tour is a co-headliner with someone. Who is big enough, not touring, and TWY would co-headline with them?

Perfect candidate for this would have been Modern Baseball, actually. Too bad...

    Dashboard Confessional?

  25. Probably not, they have an extensive North American tour running through the end of April.
