havent checked yet but that's the word on the street!

 

I want to do bad but my wife doesn’t do well with horror movies set in the woods haha. Will probably have to wait until the weekend, I’ve pushed a little and she won’t budge haha. Should never have showed her the trailer.

EDIT: she didn’t go for the “you liked cabin in the woods, you should like this” bit.

has anyone suggested that we all write a horror movie together? heh. i feel like among the 20 of us regulars in here we could come up with something at LEAST as awesome as chris o'dowd's magical arm

Hahaha. A horror brain trust. I can’t even imagine what kind of general plot we’d have to come up with to get all of the people here happy. Which is a good thing, the varied points of view have led to a lot of good recommendations I wouldn’t have found otherwise

 

haha yea, a goofy horror movie would be easier and more fun to make I think, since everyone can just throw in the most ridiculous ideas.

That or we could literally just make A Goofy Horror Movie - sequel to the 1995 classic A Goofy Movie

 

Just picked up all 8 Saw films + Victor Crowley for only $40. Watching Crowley now.

 

Saw on Adam Nevill's newsletter that The Ritual won't be on Netflix in the UK but it should be on On Demand services and will eventually be free, just a heads up

 

Ya The Ritual is out there, but I think I'll wait 'til Friday.

 

Victor Crowley was not good. At all. And I blind purchased it too because I love the first three so much.

 

I feel like the only person on the planet who thought The Cloverfield Paradox was fine. Definitely flawed, particularly in its editing (likely due to production issues) and character development (which seems to be a common problem with space crew movies), but an enjoyable enough homage to Event Horizon, multiverse theories and the Philadelphia experiment.

Chris O'Dowd was great, as always. Maybe I just watch too much Black Mirror, but I appreciated that it wasn't incredibly bleak or dismal.

 

Finally splurged on a surround sound system (hooray tax season). Any suggestions for a good movie to break it in with that will benefit from the new system?

 

I watched Super Dark Times last night. Pretty good but it was probably not the best choice to watch at the end of a rough day alone

 

Dunkirk (forgot this was the horror thread, but my suggestion remains the same)

 

This was on my list for the next week haha

 

Tattoo day. I’m starting a half sleeve based on the universal monsters. Bride being the centerpiece. Should be fun!
