Excellent question, Sheav. Can I call ya Sheav? It really depends on the situation. In this particular instance, the banana opened while I was getting into my car. I don’t think I could safely peel and drive so I peeled it all the way before I got on the road. Were I at home I would most likely peel as I go so I can set the banana down as needed.

Fun fact: nearly everyone peels bananas the incorrect way
