Fuck, you brought me back in. I was gonna shower. Now I'll never shower, I have to keep talking about this.

Maybe every cop has come forward, they all decided this was enough, its gotten too fucked up, things need to change. But they haven't changed, we still have a corrupt broken system. So its more likely than barely any have come forward, or if they have they did not initiate meaningful change, so the problem persists.

A huge culture issue in policing is this us vs them mentality, where its not the mindset of coming to a situation to help, but that your life is on the line at all times, and everyone should be treated like a threat. Yeah some people are out there and real threats, but this isn't a warzone. There can be reasonable assumptions made to determine if a person poses a legitimate threat or not. A cop doesn't get to kill someone, consequence free, because they're scared. If they're that scared they shouldn't be a cop, and the whole policing system should not allow that person to continue being a cop like they aren't terrible at it, and posing a legitimate threat to the innocent public.

the thin blue line is the most intense no snitch policy on earth. if you know a cop you can bet money they're covering up for something one of their co workers did in one way or another.

  9. In my mind the odds are very, very high that's exactly what I would get. My city with their actions has shown that to me so many times.

Hell, I've had cops lie to judges in front of me. And I'm a relatively middle class white guy and they flat out lied to the judge about where they were when they "got me on radar speeding" ... and it was bullshit and completely made up. That moment was a real eye opener for me at 21. Sitting in a court room going "wait, what the fuck, this is a lie" and having zero recourse. And it was about a fucking speeding ticket.

Yeah man it’s very high you can get that. I just grew up with my dad being a cop until I was 22 so it’s hard growing up that long thinking one way and then finding out it’s not really what it seems to be.

As I’ve previously stated I didn’t mean to insult anyone if I did. This whole thread has been eye opening to me to say the least. Thank you for the conversations everyone.

Most of my aggressive posts were because of the other guy you're all good you've been fine

No I understand. I don’t agree with the way he came in hot and thought everyone was trying to personally insult his family members and name calling.

  15. I apologise to Brandon, the fact that he understands the other perspective more now is evidence he didn't deserve me being a dick to him like that, maybe in a different way but not like that. You got caught up in the crossfire between me and the trump guy. I Do Not apologise to the trump guy

No need to apologize. I probably could of came in in a different manner. Truly I just didn’t understand it well enough to debate but held on to the “I have family as cops so they’re not all bad” mind sight.

I almost want to say the Trump guy should’ve stuck around, but I know none of this would have gotten through to him.
