I’m not. Discussion on these things is good. The out of hand is verbally assaulting anyone on either side of the debate.

You know me man. Don’t like people on either side being insulted. I’m all for free speech and calm debating.

killing people is far from the only bad thing cops do but its the biggest, most egregious thing. cops also lock nonviolent offenders and innocent people up for their entire lives, they plant evidence, they steal, there have even been cops who sexually assault civilians, etc. the list goes on, the entire institution of policing is fucked because these things are allowed to go on unchecked for far longer than they should, sometimes these things are never corrected, and even when they are discovered its swept under the rug because who do police stations turn to investigate wrongdoings? themselves. the entire system is fucking corrupt and any individual who actively chooses to be apart of that is a fucking bastard. it should be apparent from your first month on the force that you wont be able to make any positive changes to policing so if you dont quit you are complicit.

    you're so close

unjustified violent acts cops have committed = bad, this is right

a system that protects people committing unjustified violent acts from even minor consequences, that then encourages more unjustified violence and creates a system of abuses that never ends and taints every member of that system even those who do not commit unjustified violent acts = ?????

Honestly I think that went out the window when broken came in here attacking the original posts about this and didn’t make even a small attempt to engage with the criticism

Exactly. I’ve always been one for someone allowed to say their peace and their side of the story. But anyone who has ever dealt with me also knows I don’t like when it breaks down to name calling and insulting.

No I agree 100% that they should have consequences just like you and I and they don’t and that’s fucked up but that doesn’t mean every single cop partakes in unjustified violent acts.

He did live in the city for a while but it wasn't until his early 20's.

see this is a strawman, no one said every cop partakes in unjustified violent acts, but every cop is complicit in a system that allows unjustified violent acts to go unchecked, hence all cops are bastards

What you're saying isn't wrong, but what you're not understanding is that those who aren't partaking in the violence aren't speaking up about it when it happens, thus making them complacent and allowing those who are to keep getting away with it.

    You're sooooooo close

Let's say I work for a meat packing company. I oversee shipping and logistics for delivering beef to grocery stores. I'm not doing anything wrong or illegal, just a normal job. But also I know the company I work for abducts people from lavish night clubs, drugs them, and chops up their bodies to sell to cannibals on the black market. This is bad, and illegal. But I gotta keep me job so I don't really do anything about it. Would you say I'm a good employee that works for a good company that is like fine and doesn't need to change what I'm doing?
