Exactly. Matt's response hits every "white privilege" bingo box on the card. He clearly hasn't had to deal with the police the way POC and poor people have. His responses suck but to a degree I get where his ignorance stems from and that's why I'm not surprised by it. It's not even that he did anything wrong persay, he just has a very frustrating, way too simplified stance to an incredibly complex issue.

Working with someone who held a pregnant woman hostage, rape, beat and tortured her on the other hand....

TOYPAJ Tom was peak of being a goof off and his songs were finally on par with Mark's. While I think Tom was great song writing wise during the S/T era I feel like that was the beginning of him becoming Bono and getting an ego thus getting knocked down a few points.

 

Does it help if they constantly flip flop depending on my mood?

Coincidentally I've been listening specifically to Obvious a lot lately. So much so that I've added it to my "daily" playlist. If they ever decided to play Self Titled in full I'm afraid of what I'd do to get to that/those shows. Haha.

Yeah that's pretty great and I'm jealous. Such a shame that they never released the Untitled live shows. Maybe one day I guess.
