It's his lively for and that's how he supports my beautiful 4 year old niece and sister. God forbid he doesn't come home one day. You guys can kick rocks that constantly shit on law enforcement, so I will get offended and seeing Skiba supportingly law enforcement is huge deal to me because I have family involved with law enforcement and they do nothing but get shit on for doing an outstanding job. I'm by no means an anarchist. I believe the institutions in America are the people's and here to serve them.
Being a "punk" to me means ensuring those institutions are held accountable when corrupted while at the same time understanding that there are people who enter into them to represent the people's interests genuinely. I believe these to reflect my liberal values.

As a black man, there have been times in my life where I have been racially profiled and harassed by police. This by no means represents the law enforcement community at large. I think you can support law enforcement for the work they do well while still speaking out against the injustice that some of them have perpetrated. I'm not immediately enraged by Skiba's post and trust that he understands this.

As always, I do not speak for the black community only my own experience. I do not appreciate that people in this thread have taken it upon themselves to speak on behalf of the black community at large or black fans of Blink.

 

Is there any way that his post could be seen as sarcasm? I mean, the shirt doesn’t paint the CPD in the best light imo and he ends the statement with “...” but then again, he is a volunteer firefighter and from Chicago so I really don’t know

The thing that bothers me is that it's alright for people to jump down his throat in the comments section but he bites back it's a crime.
