A server walks up to a table with a single check for all four people. A person at said table requests split check instead. The server feigns assurance that it’s not an inconvenience in the slightest. The server leaves the table and unseen to his table very obviously annoyed, storms past the cash reigister in the back of the house. He walks out the door into a time machine traveling back an hour in time. He exits, spits in the food of the table that requested a split check at the end of the meal, and then returns to the present. Walking back to the cash reigister he splits the check as requested and drops it off at the table with a large genuine smile on his face.

Why do servers do this. To be completely honest its extremely stupid to not pre emptively split a check for groups of people. Its not hard either.
