the guitar riffs during the pre chorus and chorus are wild

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Autumn Leaves Revisited is still probably my favorite Thursday song

milimeter is one of their top 5 songs, its a really old school style thursday rocker, soaring chorus but really intense and unrelenting

when the numbers are the measures off, millimeter
we run for miles to come up short by a millimeter

that chorus is extremely emotionally affecting and his vocals are perfect

Still trying to puzzle out how millimeter fits into the devotion theme though

this is a really good closer, a summation of the album and passing of the torch onto the next generation of post-hardcore/emo bands

city was the beginning of this band really experimenting and toying with what their sound could become, no devolucion is the logical conclusion of all their experiments and comes together as their most intense, dense, lush, and atmospheric record. city just holds so much importance as the turning point of their career and was such an ambitious undertaking for a band of their kind at the time

In a recent AP podcast Geoff said City was the first album that started breaking the band apart because everyone but Geoff wanted the sound to be more reserved and atmospheric and he just wanted it loud and angry. Really cool interview where he talked about everything from starting on Eyeball records through the breakup.

For No Devolucion he just let the band write want they wanted and didn't fight back.

Yeah he said if he had it his way the next Thursday album after WATT would have been United Nations.

I hate myself for having this opinion but I never liked millimeter bc it sounded forced to me, and stay true always sounded cheesy.

Also I’m somewhat surprised Geoff wasn’t the one pushing for heavy atmospherics.
All that said I’d love a UN-type Thursday record. Or any Thursday record.

geoff may not have been the one pushing atmosphere but aside from full collapse, ACBTLD and no dev are his favorite thursday records

Millimeter is good but definitely one of my least favorite Thursday tracks. I used to also not like Gun so much but man that song is enormous. No Dev is a masterwork, along with their other records.

Mystery is the secret ingredient Prestigious

That is why it is my favorite song, it really feels like the essence of everything that Thursday is.

These guys will never get the credit they deserve as musicians. The bass and drums lock in so well on CE and ND.
