Verdict:

the first 3 tracks are good. very catchy.
track 4, not into it.
track 5's verses are a bit of a rip off of "Stars" by Hum, but i like it.
track 6, not really into it.
track 7... while having a really catchy melody, lyrics like "poured all my heart and spilled my blood. I screamed until it hurt" is the reason why people give HH a hard time.
track 8, the spoken word thing is awful. not into this song at all though.

 

Actually I think I can agree with that on track 1. I would maybe say that one is my least favorite. But I can't really choose between the other 3 I def like them all (even track 1). Definitely dig the end of the closer Left Unsaid and love hearing the Emery influence on this EP.

 

I think you got 7 mixed up. the lyrics you listed are from track 6. Tail lights is 7

friend of ours who went to high school, he's an artist in NY he posts stuff on instagram/fb all the time. we thought it was cool way to describe the EP as a mix of brightness/dark theme. The skull head being the dark part of it I guess. so we went with it. Plus it stands out haha. We asked him if we could use it and he said sure, and was happy to do it.

 

HURT is on Apple Music for sure I know that much

 

I listened to it on Spotify just now

 

there was something newer by them that I couldn't find on streaming I forget what it is.

Also they are a great live band I'll give them that much

I think it hurt us putting that one as the opener. We didn't really realize until later though, ha

 

They very much are, and some of the nicest dudes I’ve met.

As for new material since Hurt they released one song (Push me Away) this time last year, but have an album in the pipeline(hinted spring release)

 

A band I should like more than I do.

 

It's exactly what I expected, honestly. Catchy vocal melodies, bad lyrics, standard HH music, faux Casey screams, but some good songs. It's nothing special though.

 

Been revisiting them. The stretch of their EP's to Floral Green was great as a fan. Haven't seen them in quite a few years now though and haven't heard much on their front.

 

I don't like the new thread name.... because I don't get it.

I really should revisit them myself sometime too. I think they have something in the works with Yip.

 

It's just whatever. I don't hate it but it didn't move HH up my list of fav bands or anything.
