Why not? They’re a genuine band that makes the music they want, and are actually a lot better than people give them credit for.

A genuine band doesn't equal a good band though. Nickelback is genuine about the music they make too...

Hawthorne Heights are decent, but I could easily name off 30 bands that I like way more than them.

But regardless, I still love you, haha.

Maybe they have some dang good albums, but I couldn't imagine ever putting them even in my top 50 favorite bands. I agree that they get more flack than they deserve, but I also don't think they're anything special by any means.

I still listen to Silence In Black and White sometimes, and I'm not even sorry.
