No yeah he definitely has, this is just the first time I’ve really given him a shot. I mainly said that because he gets a lot of comprisons to Thug, being on YSL and everything.

I just listened to that second Slaughterhouse record the other day, and I don’t think it’s any coincidence that the Eminem/Skylar Gray tracks brought down the whole project

Yeah, definitely. Have you listened to the first album? It's like 20x better.

Yeah, it’s pretty good. I think their issue is just that it’s four guys who can go bar-for-bar with anyone, but have trouble making a consistently good project. “Not Tonight” is great

This is def a songwriting issue, there's a lot more to an interesting, engaging project than just BARS.

I've heard it all, and I know he's a great rapper, even similar to rappers I love, but I don't know his stuff never touched me I guess.

I liked the first Slaughterhouse, but I liked Joel's solo stuff at the time a lot more. Slaughterhouse never quite clicked for me as much as I wanted it to.

I always think about what would have happened to his career had he never had a falling out with Dre and Eminem in the early 2000s. Obviously he linked back up with Eminem in the 2010s, but I think he would have been huge had the first fallout never occurred.

EDIT: That said, Royce noticeably switched his style up in 2007 or 2008 - starting with The Bar Exam.

Maybe, but I think he has a pretty impressive career given the type of rapper he is at his core. A lot like him have done less well.

Brian album was fine, some really great production, but not a lot of substance and I probably won't go back to it much. But he is good at what he's doing.

I thought he had changed his name to just Brian not Rich Brian. That’s so funny

I’m hyped to check it. The track he did with 21 Savage late last year was tight.

I think that did happen but then he must have thought it was too generic or hard to find so he settled in the middle on Rich Brian

Slug Christ just put out his best project in a hot minute, and it's probably his most accessible yet. Feeling Saner and Thinking' about Prayin are top tier tracks of his.

Rich Brian album is tight. Great production and I like his voice. Glow Like Dat is amazing.

I’ve been meaning to find my way into Slug Christ for like 3-4 years, just added the new project.
