Why did this make me laugh so much

 

You win this one... there are very rarely cool people at shows in Chicago. I see Dan from Real Friends around a lot... does that count? (If only I actually listened to Real Friends)

 

Cause I’m funny once a day and this was it.

Stephen Colbert's the only real celebrity I've ever seen at a show I think, but I've seen people like Eugene Mirman and John Hodgman at shows a couple times

@littlejohn told me pineapples don't belong on pizza. The more accurate statement is ranch doesn't belong ON or anywhere near pizza.

Unless it's a Buffalo pizza then ranch is acceptable.

 

He likes California and doesn’t constantly trash it. That makes me instantly more likely to believe him

 

I did! It was pretty good. It didn’t blow my mind, but I can see what people love about it.

Started off really strong, and not at all what I was expecting, but that abrupt transition was pretty rough and then I just wanted to listen to Neutral Milk Hotel instead.

It got better again toward the end and reminded me of Thursday in some parts (though I know the influence obviously would’ve gone the other way, with this influencing later Thursday) but the abrupt ending was a little off-putting.

I’ll check out the full album, but I don’t know if this will be something I’ll love, even though I’m sure I’ll be able to see how this influenced a bunch of artists I love.

Does anyone here like Bad Suns? I don’t know anything about the band really, but they’ve come on Pandora at work for a few band’s stations and now Language & Perspective has become a regular play for me. I don’t think they’re mindblowing or a favorite, but it’s good stuff I don’t get sick of.
