Exactly. Let me know when the jokes make people cancel their orders, protest the shows, boycott merch, etc. Until then it's just a bunch of comments on the internet.

 

Just give us the whole album so we don't have to keep arguing about a couple dumb 15 second long songs anymore and can actually focus on the real songs and have a musical discussion. Blink-182 and politics don't go well together, haha. They also don't mean any harm.

 

There's no need to do this, and no need for a discussion of lyrics to only matter if it is accompanied by boycotts or canceled preorders. If you derisively call something "just a bunch of comments on the Internet" ... while commenting on the internet ... and don't see how ridiculous that is, dunno what to tell you.

 

I actually was never planning to order this album, it just doesn't interest me enough. I'm curious more than anything, I will probably just add it to iTunes and get rid of the songs I don't like.

 

Could not disagree more with this post. I believe music and albums are art and should be discussed as a whole, and parts of the whole. If the discussion ignores parts of the album the album is worse because of the caveats and excuses you have to make for it. Two, them not meaning harm doesn't meant it doesn't cause harm. Misogynist language doesn't need intent to be sexist and harmful to someone.

 

So Weenie Roast concert will be streamed today.

 

I know there's people on here that are going to disagree with my post but one thing that bums me out is I already know this isn't going to be a 10/10 album like untitled is for me based on the two joke songs. Yes, it's like 45 seconds altogether but it is part of the whole thing and I view albums as a whole. It could still very well be a 9.5 or whatever but it doesn't have that "perfect front to back" feel anymore, especially with the closer which is always important to me.

 

Looks like we need PC principal at these upcoming shows.

 

I still have a feeling that the song "California" will sound more like the closing track, with brohemian rhapsody being more of an afterthought, but idk. We have to wait to see how the album as a whole flows.

 

Including it as a secret or pre-gap song would have been smarter.

When did not being an asshole become "being PC"? I truly don't get why people keep using the phrase "PC" to make it seem like not being sexist, racist, transphobic, homophobic is somehow a bad thing.

 

I agree. I just listened to it again and it doesn't even sound like a closing song at all. Aside from the lyrics, it's a very odd song to put as the closing track.

 

Dumb and not funny? Man, I missed them writing catchy pop songs. If they're gonna ask girls to take off their shirts at shows and use gendered terms, fuck that. It was wrong then, it's wrong now.

 

Considering my favourite blink album ends with a dog drinking Mark's piss and a toilet flushing I'm not sure it's that odd of a choice haha.

 

I'm just going to stream it off Spotify.

 

That's a little different though since it's a part of the closing track, and not its own separate track.

 

Considering you're the closest of us to the band and label, a message to them on the issue would be great.

DR is my favorite as well but man do I hate that I'm sorry has that. I can't remember the last time I listened to it all the way through.
