My birthday is on the 21st

I fully expect to get 200+ Facebook posts from people who barely give a shit about me, a few text messages from people who actually do give a shit, and to sit and smoke a doob alone while the day winds down and I contemplate my mortality

Such is the life of someone who never really figured out how to be popular or well-liked

Pardon me while I puke audibly at the amount of Bell #LetsTalk posts on my news feed while people continue to ignore those around them who are lonely

 

Since January sucked so much ass, I wanted to make the first day of February the best.

So I just bought Taylor Swift Tickets for July 26th in Foxborough, MA. Cheapest seats I could get but the fact i'll be there is fucking amazing.

Animal Flag is one of the most exciting bands in rock music right now. 2016’s aptly titled LP compiled a couple of older EPs into a cohesive game of genre roulette: the band wove together alternative rock, post-rock, folk, alt-country, and even post-hardcore throughout the effort’s ten tracks. The result? A fantastic, unpredictable album with something for almost anyone, culminating in the eight-minute “Cathedrals,” which manages to touch on every style and feeling explored prior. Now, there isn’t much telling what this record might sound like – the only things we know for sure are that the album is done and it’s coming out this year. But I would bet on it being a stunner.

on the topic of birthdays, my wife usually makes cake and her and my kids sing the song. maybe I'll get a nice home cooked meal or we'll go to a place that I like. but that's usually it.

maybe if we can get a baby sitter we'll go see a movie.


but, when I go to my moms house for xmas I get a "birthday meal" and I kind of turned that into a birthday week of meals.

my birthday is in december so it makes a little bit of sense.

meals I choose

1. chicken flautas with beans, guacamole, queso, sour cream, rice
2. ground beef with potatoes tacos with ^ stuff too.
3. homemade pizza
4. homemade eggrolls (sometimes)

 

My birthday is next week and I think my wife setup brunch the weekend after with my family and got me some new underwear.

Turning 36 is exciting!

That sounds like a good time! My sister is the only one in my family who has a summer birthday, so she always had outdoor parties that were fun.

 

But where the fuck is Thrice on that list?

I only read the AF write up so far (the first one) and bookmarked the rest to read later. No Thrice is crazy. Someone needs to comment and report the culprit. Question is who is to blame for this flagrant omission of epic proportions.

I used to really like blink. they were my favorite band for a long time in high school, before I got more in to metal(system) then thursday.

I'm kind of interested to see how they sound other than the song I've heard on the radio.

 

but the mistake is starting now, the consequences will be felt in about 45 minutes.
