Seriously if anyone hasn’t listened to the Mike Shinoda EP do it, its only 10 minutes long and it’s powerful stuff

 

Yeah, alright, probably true. But I’m not sure that’s the point?

A lot of us came together because they were our favourite, and so to cut ties and find a new band is not always so straightforward, given the emotional attachment.

I also found it particularly difficult to form any great attachment to bands as more and more people were being outed as abusers. I didn’t want to find myself supporting someone who was shit.

Obviously it’s not just about me, but that’s just how I felt.

 

this sort of feels like a "I never liked them anyway" sort of statement which I personally never found very constructive. Yea, you did feel that way but a lot of people here didnt feel that way.. just sayin. this may get me in trouble tho haha

I was a huge BN fan from 2000 to 2007 ish. I wasn't super into Daisy (loved "Vices" though), and I didn't really like Science Fiction much. But yeah, I was never obsessed with Brand New like lots of other people are/were.

 

My status "On this day" on facebook from a few years ago was "P****, money, beads" for Gasparilla. I received 2 comments, one from my dad, and one from my aunt both expressing their disapproval

 

FUCK YES! Just got Descendents tickets. Saw them live last summer, didn’t expect them back so soon.

i loved their last album! crazy that they've been around so long and can still write incredible music.

See that’s the thing I don’t know what this means

 

we are putting together our FFO: for our album for apple music and spotify.. thinking about going with Manchester, thrice, and Taking back sunday. All bands that spent time in emo but have shifted more towards alt rock. Would anyone here want to listen to a band that posted that? haha I'm using this thread as a focus group.

The day before they played here last summer, i was walking around on my lunch break and ran into Karl getting lunch! It was like seeing a member of the Ramones out in the wild. It blew my mind. I didn't say anything to him though because he was in the middle of eating a sandwich with his buddy, and I didn't want to bother him. But yeah, that was really cool, haha.
