Just saw the Main Event stuff from NJPW last night, holy hell.

 

KO worked a normal match last night soooo hes good to go.

 

I've always had a hunch Roman was in the Red Ribbon army.

I’m assuming you mean Owens but it’s funny how KO can apply to five guys (at least) Kevin Owens, Kenny Omega, Kazuchika Okada, Kassius Ohno, Kyle O’Reilly.

 

The main event and aftermath from New Beginnings today were incredible! The match itself was great and win or lose, you could tell the match would do wonders more for Jay White than his WK match did. And then of course, all that occurred afterward was so enjoyable!

What didn't you like about the tag match and why don't you think AOP will do well on the roster? I thought the match was paced/booked well (though the finish was a wet fart, but part of that was because it looked sloppy). Give AOP a manger on the main roster and they'll succeed. They are green, but the tag division has enough guys who can work that will elevate them. They're big bodied brutes who can throw people around with a good look. I said it last night but I think they're going to be the most successful tag team to come out of NXT.

 

What has technically been the most successful team to come out of NXT? Enzo and Cass?

 

I fully admit that when i watch NxT, i pretty much watch it like a wrestling scout and that can influence how i like a match (unless the match is bonkers and i forget all that, aka the last two matches). First off i dont see anything in o'reilly and fish...and i really want to like AOP because i'm always down for big bruiser tag teams. But i think its going to require a solid manager/mouth piece, and you cant rely on Paul Ellering on the main roster.

the match itself just felt fine (for NxT). I couldn't get invested in it.

If Revival, American Alpha, and Ascension couldn't get it going.... i guess at this point, i just dont have any faith in any tag team from NxT.

Jury's out on the revival because of the injury. Ascension had a gimmick that just won't work on the main roster in this day and age. American Alpha should've been way better than they were.

 

KOR and Fish really are better off as singles guys. But they havent been given the oppritunity to flourish yet as a team either.

 

Meltz was gushimg pretty hard about the main event last night. If he doesnt go 5* he is gonna get such a brutal backlash. Which I kind if hope happens because its hilarious the shit he responds to on twitter.

 

i think what AOP are gonna need when they come to the main roster is a story. They can't just be 2 tough dudes who wear vests. Give me a good back story, give them a good mouth piece or let them be part of some trio or faction, and i think they have potential, otherwise i'm nervous they're just gonna be 2 tough looking dudes who yell.

 

AA did win the Smackdown titles, but their reign was shit so nobody remembers

It doesnt help that AA didnt even last a year together on the main roster. And i think harper and rowan were only champs in NXT

 

Harper and Rowan were NXT Tag Champs. Now they're the Bludgeon Brothers. Seems like a massive success to me

 

By win/loss and titles, I think you could say Harper/Wyatt. Close second would probably be American Alpha, sadly.

Vaudevillians, Enzo/Cass, and Lucha Dragons all competed for titles, but never won. Ascension obbiously flamed out, and Revival has been hurt.

Meanwhile, British Ambition, DIY, and Blake/Murphy never made it out of NXT as teams.

 

Kalisto is the most successful NXT tag champ. lol
